A fine mahogany-cased twin-fusee repeating verge bracket clock, signed John Taylor, London, third-quarter 18th century, the brass and silvered dial with 6¾ inch Roman chapter ring, pierced-steel hands, date aperture above 6 o' clock, ormolu spandrels, strike/silent hand above dial, the eight day movement with foliate-engraved back plate, striking on a bell, the domed architectural case with brass bow carry handle, raised on bracket feet, with winding key, 41cm by 25cm by 18cm. Together with an ogee mahogany wall bracket measuring 29.5cm wide by 21cm deep by 25cm high, with gilt beaded moulding. With some recent service history.

Oak box sturdy but a little tire. Bail of handle has been lost, replaced with a ring. All with surface scratches, knocks and scuffs commensurate with age and use.

Old knocks, chips, scratches and wear throughout. Some fading and discolouration. Splits, knocks, wear and old repairs to legs. One modern screw beneath the seat securing one arm support. Joints solid and sound. Some white paint marks and splatters. Overall with a few slight cosmetic issues, but generally appears in fair order and is perfectly usable in its current state.
Late 18th early 19th Century long coaching, holster or livery pistol of a military style by ‘CRANMER’ in approx .600” bore. Overall length 15” with a 9” octagonal to round staged pinned barrel reducing to round at approx 3” from breech with turned ring at junction. Marked with Birmingham private proof on l/h and a No’1 on r/h above pan. Plain moulded full stock with brass mounts, original brass topped wooden ramrod. Internal bore clean and smooth, stepped & bevelled lock and frizzen mechanically complete with strong springs (sliver of wood missing from back of lock plate). Signed ‘CRANMER’ on lock plate with semi waterproof pan. Some slight slackness in trigger, maker probably Thomas Cranmer a Birmingham maker in business last half of the 18th century.
A French Legion d’honneur Officers Cross.Silver cross with vitreous enamel decoration, plus a gold central tablet to each side.The item is stamped with a makers mark to the suspension ring (appears to be part of a standard diamond shaped silversmiths mark), and also a boars head mark to the body of the piece.Approximate size: 4.2cm across.Condition: generally good, with solid construction.Some small areas have enamel loss, particularly on the leaves of the wreath and the crown. Viewing recommended.

The Most Honourable Order Of The Bath, Military Division KCB breast badge.Made in silver, silver gilt, and vitreous enamels, with a gold pin to the reverse (tests as 9ct).Seemingly unmarked.Approximate size: 7.5cm x 7.5cm.Plus, The Most Honourable Order Of The Bath silver gilt and vitreous enamel neck badge - approximate size: 5.7cm x 6.1cm (not including the jump ring).Condition: Overall very good - some minor enamel loss to a couple of the rd berries on the wreath of the breast badge, plus some very minor enamel loss above the H in ‘Ich’ and above the I in ‘Dien’.The neck badge has 3 enamelled red berries missing from the wreath, plus some missing red enamel around the crowns to both sides.The gilt finish to the neck badge is worn in place, and the silver base metal has darkened with tarnish.
A WWII era Spanish M1941 Bolo bayonet by the Toledo Arms Factory with checkered wooden grip and macneta style steel blade, the blade is marked with the Toledo makers name and the serial number 4955H, The cross guard appears to have been shortened and is missing its muzzle ring, also the steel scabbard has been repaired by a leather sheath, length 37cms approx, blade length 24.5cms approx (generally good condition, minor surface corrosion)
Swiss model 1918 bayonet, unfullered double edged blade marked Waffenfabrik Neuhausen, steel cross guard with muzzle ring - marked with serial number and Swiss flag mark plus a circle, complete with steel scabbard with leather securing tab, blade length 30cms approx - overall length 43cms approx (corrosion to cross guard and pommel; the scabbard is dented near the leather tab)
