A Good George III Mahogany Eight Day Longcase Clock, signed Robert Holland, London, circa 1760, pagoda pediment, brass stop fluted columns, pierced side frets, nicely figured arched moulded trunk door, plinth with a raised moulded panel, bracket feet, 12-inch arched brass dial with a silvered Arabic and Roman chapter ring, seconds and date aperture, arch with a silvered plaque signed, five pillar movement with anchor escapement and rack striking on a bell, 249cm high 08.10.14, Pierced frets to the hood with slight damage and some fret work is missing, minor scratches and minor dents to the plinth, dial is clean, movement is complete, finials are missing.

A Walnut Eight Day Longcase Clock, signed Joseph Williamson, London, circa 1695, caddied pediment, glazed side panels, moulded trunk door with glass lenticle, 11-inch square brass dial with a silvered Arabic and Roman chapter ring signed, matted dial centre with scroll and ringed engraved decoration, date aperture and seconds, ringed winding holes, five pillar movement with anchor escapement and inside countwheel striking on a bell, 223cm high Joseph Williamson was an eminent watch and clock maker in the late 17th/early 18th century. Apprenticed in 1686 and became Master of the Clockmakers Company in 1724. He was the watchmaker to the King of Spain and claimed the invention of equation mechanism in a paper to the Royal Society. His watches and clocks are exhibited in several collections around the world today. 09.10.14, Case has been re-veneered in parts and the veneers are polished, mouldings are re-ebonised, hood door with a later side latch, small dents and scuff marks in places, some small chips to veneers, later skirting to plinth, trunk door slightly bowed, dial and movement are clean.

Natural? fine splits to end panels and top. Top section with numerous ring marks and staining. Large section of moulding missing to the left corner. Later knob handles, previous handle marks partly visible. Secretaire drawer leather replaced, and small defect. An Aquamarine and Diamond Cluster Ring, the oval cut aquamarine within a spaced border of old cut diamonds, in white claw and collet settings, to a forked shoulder split shank, total estimated diamond weight 1.50 carat approximately, finger size O (approximately) The ring is in good condition. The shank looks like a later replacement. It is worn, particularly at the open ends, and yellow is shining through - possibly gold beneath a worn rhodium plating. The shank has a mark, which could be Austrian although is hard to decipher. The aquamarine measures 16.85mm by 11.33mm by 6.99mm. The approximate qualities of the diamonds are; colour I/J/K, clarity SI2/I1/I2. Gross weight 11.0 grams. CR made 16th September 2014

There are some spare links to the chain. The pendant bears no hallmark, nor stamps, in our opinion it would test as gold and silver. The chain fastens with a bolt ring catch. It is hallmarked with sponsor`s mark `CRF`, London (import), 1972. The approximate qualities of the diamonds are; colour I/J/K, clarity SI1/SI2/I1. Gross weight 10.6 grams. An Aquamarine Necklace, circa 1860, graduated oval mixed cut aquamarines to the front of the necklace, in yellow claw settings, within cannetille borders, with a detachable cross, en suite, a fancy link chain to the back of the necklace, length 57.5cm, cross measures 4cm by 5cm NB the cross is missing the central stone Other than the missing stone this is in good condition. The loop which the cross hangs from may well have a later loop attachment. The chain to the back of the necklace is likely to be a later replacement also. The chain attaches to the aquamarine section by way of a hook and loop at one end, and a loop and bolt ring at the other. The cross attaches onto a hook. Gross weight 41.0 grams.
