There are some surface reaching inclusions to the ruby. The hoop is possibly a later replacement, solder joins visible at shoulders. A couple of splits in the gallery, mount seems secure but it would be beneficial to have these repaired.

Compass: surface marks/scratches and a couple of dings verso. Some wear to the suspension hoop. Some chips and scratches to the glazed cover.

Dial possibly later replacement or altered. Lacking feet and no evidence of drillholes where they would have been. Anchor escapement. Missing escutcheons to front and back doors. No key for doors. Metal hook to the front door a little misshapen but still functions correctly. Back door a little stiff. No evidence of woodworm. A couple of small holes to the righthand side of the case. With winding key. With pendulum. Ticks when wound but we can't guarantee accurate time keeping, strikes on the hour, very loud mechanism. Backplate unsigned.
