A rare 17th Century silver pair-cased pocket watch, Richard Masterson, Londini, the silver dial with central vase of flowers and Roman numerals to the chapter ring, in outer shagreen case, 4cm diameter/Provenance: Spetchley Park/see illustration CONDITION REPORT: 11:Outer case- Front badly rubbed and worn. Back missing some silver work. No papers. One hook clasp missing. Hinge sound.Watch case- With dent and split at 7.30.Face- Pitted and dentedWatch movement does not work if wound. Movement spins.Does not tick, ratchet on drum not working, hands move.Watch is all original and of the period.
A silver pair-cased watch, J Grantham, London, no. 6966, silver case with repoussé scene of Mars & Diana, 40mm dial/Provenance: Spetchley Park/see illustration CONDITION REPORT: 2:Fob ring very loose. Case tarnished but hinge intact. Nasty split to back of watch case. Currently in working order. Dent to name plate. Date letter rubbed however circa 1800.
An 18th Century Irish silver Warwick cruet, probably Richard Williams, Dublin circa 1770, the stand with ring handle and five circular gadroon rimmed stands on a cinquefoil base with shell feet containing three casters and two cut glass bottles with silver tops, with armorial to cartouche at front, 28cm high, approximately 1670gm/Note: The arms are those of Quin impaling Monck and relate to Dr Henry Quin (171801791) the noted Physician who married Ann Monck in the 1750s. CONDITION REPORT: There are some small bends to the frame and light wear, particularly to the armorial but generally sound. Top of one bottle has chipping to rim, this is hidden by cap. Caps have makers mark only. Large caster has slight repairs to pierced cover. Small casters, one has a solid cover (not pierced) the other has an inner sleeve to strengthen it, some damage to piercing. Generally quite worn.
