LOUIS JOE: (1914-1981) American Boxer, World Heavyweight Champion 1937-49. Vintage signed and inscribed 8 x 10 photograph of the Brown Bomber in a full length boxing pose within the ring of a training gym. Signed ('Joe Louis') in bold dark fountain pen ink to a light area at the base of the image and inscribed, most likely in another hand, in a slightly lighter fountain pen ink, to a partially darker area at the centre of the image. A Copeland Spode part dinner service in the Chelsea pattern to include; meat plates, tureens etc Condition Report / Extra Information Manufactured for Harrods's Limited, Brompton Road, London. Piece missing at pierced edge o0f tureen. Several of the smaller plates ring dead but are not obviously damaged, two are much lighter in colour with purple border, one with hairline. Meat plates with some nibbles to edges. Soup bowl with chip to rim. Overall good condition, some areas of crazing and staining etc.
