An Aynsley Art Deco part tea service. Comprising three cups, eight saucers, eight plates, milk jug and sugar bowl. All decorated in pale green and white, the cups and jug with pale green butterfly handles. Condition Report: Generally in good condition. The colours are bright with no obvious signs of repainting or repairs. Areas of rubbing to the gilt. Signs of general wear including scratches and rubbing consistent with age and usage. Some pieces have spots of residue and would benefit from a clean. Some very faint pitting to several pieces however no crazing. Two of the teacups have chips to the butterfly wings and around the base. The jug does not ring as well as the cups and bowl. One of the saucers has a large hairline crack.

The early modern round brilliant diamond approx. 0.67cts, the sapphire approx. 1.15cts, each in a four claw setting with tiny eight-cut and old-cut diamond three stone cross-over shoulders, on a D-section shank stamped 'Pt', size M, 3.8g gross Condition Report: The diamond measures approx. 5.85mm x 3.2mm, clarity about VS1, Colour about K/L. The medium blue sapphire measures approx. 5.95mm x 3.95mm

Centred with an oval mixed-cut stone between smaller round trefoils (all stones with worn facet edges) and open scroll shoulders on a D-section shank with hallmarks for London 1972, size O, 3.5g gross Condition Report: The mount in overall good condition for age, general wear and tear commensurate with age and use. However the stones all have very worn facet edges suggesting they are a soft material and probably paste - See revised description.

The scuffs and scratches would probably all polish out, there is evidence of a vague continental mark which is rubbed and not in any way decipherable to the back of the shank. The diamond 'bright and white' but with a table-to-girdle gletz
