Cleeve, RAF and then further engraved with his posting stations - Crystal Palace, Chingford, Cranwell etc and Wings emblem to top. Further locations noted for 1918. Hallmarks for Thomas Bradbury & Sons Ltd, Sheffield, 1917. Unique piece of early RAF history.

The total weight of the diamonds is approximately 0.80-0.85ct, the total weight of the baguette cut sapphires is 0.28ct-0.30ct set in a weighty mount, naively etched ‘Platinum’ inside. Provenance from the seller "it was supplied by the jewellery firm Manchester House situated at that time in Cornwall Street, Plymouth. The ring was purchased by my father circa 1950 for his wife as a special thank you for her help in his setting up a small business after WWII. We were always led to believe that the design was typical of ‘Cartier‘ but if not from their workshops probably made by one of his designers or outworks"
