A green glass silver mounted liqueur flask, hallmarked to the rim London 1894, the accompanying bowl similarly hallmarked but rubbed and three matching glasses and three other Venetian jewelled glasses. Flask height 15 cm. CONDITION REPORT: The hallmarks on the rim of the ewer are partially rubbed. The silver appears to be free from any dents or knocks. The ewer has no stopper. The glass body appears to be free from any obvious chips or cracks. The silver around the rim of the tray appears to be free from any knocks or dents and is generally in good order. There is a ring of surface scratches around the central cut glass decoration on the underside (which is normal). The tray appears to be free from any obvious chips, cracks or restorations. The two pairs of three licquer glasses which accompany this piece are all free from any obvious chips or cracks.
An early 19th century papier mache oval tray, with gilt medallion to centre and gilded borders, the underside marked with a sphinx and initials "J III SS" with through arrow. Diameter 72.5 cm. CONDITION REPORT: The interior gilding and decorations to the centre are partially erased. The gilding around the upper left hand and right hand sections of the rim are fully erased. The remainder of the upper section is partially erased. There are small sections throughout the remaining gilding which are partially erased. There are large and small ring marks to the main field. There are small nicks throughout the edge. Looking at the underside there are two patches of D shaped cracks on the right hand side, one 11 cm x 2.5 cm, the other 12 cm x 3 cm, with an additional crack attached to the edge +/- 3 cm x 2 cm. These cracks are not obvious on the top side. The underside has numerous scratches throughout. Overall this is an item that has seen regular heavy use.
A George III inlaid mahogany sideboard, the flat top with crossbanded satinwood edging and inlaid with fans to the corners, with similar decoration to the cupboard doors flanking a single central drawer with ring handles and raised on square tapered legs inlaid with bellflower ornament.
An unusual late Regency mahogany sideboard, having a bowfront back and breakfront, above two central oak lined drawers flanked by cupboard doors, each with brass ring handle with beaded escutcheon, all upon tapering reeded and turned legs. 184.5 cm wide, 94.5 cm high, 81 cm deep. CONDITION REPORT: The sideboard is structurally sound and of good original colour. It is also an interesting shape and a good looking piece. Unfortunately however there are two significant splits to the top. The left hand cupboard door also has stress fractures to the veneers. It is a shame about the splits to the top as this is a good looking sideboard.
A Copeland's china 6 place blue and white willow pattern tea set, late 19th century, with rib moulded bodies and gilt rims, factory printed marks. CONDITION REPORT: One cup has a 5 mm firing crack on the rim and sounds dull when lightly tapped. One cup has a Y shape hairline crack across the bottom which is visible on the exterior and interior. One cup although in what appears to be in good order with no visible chips, or cracks gives a dull ring when lightly tapped. All teacups have light rubbing to the gilding on the rims. One saucer has a 4 cm Y shape hairline crack visible on the underside. One saucer has a 2.5 cm hairline crack issuing from the rim. One saucer although with no obvious visible defects does not ring out when lightly tapped. One side plate has a very fine circumferal hairline crack. A further saucer has a foot rim to foot rim hairline crack. All the side plates appear to be in good order with no obvious chips, cracks, or signs of restoration.
An early 19th century mahogany bowfront chest of drawers, the top with crossbanded edge with boxwood and ebony checkered stringing above two short and three long graduated and cockbeaded drawers, each with ring handles and embossed foliate backplates, all upon splayed bracket feet. 123 cm wide, 119 cm high, 52.5 cm deep.
Charlotte Rhead for Bursley Ware bowl, early 20th century, tube lined with citrus fruits leaves and berries, printed and inscribed marks. 21.3 cm diameter, together with an Eichwald pottery bowl with moulded floral decoration with shaded green ground, moulded marks and numbered 7708. 24 cm diameter. CONDITION REPORT: The Charlotte Rhead bowl has a rubber interior has a rubbed interior, the pink glaze has worn to a mottled orange colour, and there are further worn marks within the remaining pink glaze on the interior. The bowl gives out a dull ring but there are no signs of any obvious chips, cracks or restorations. The foot rim and rim are free from any obvious chips. The Eichwald bowl has very small nicks to the high points on two of the handles and three tiny glaze chips to the interior rim. The interior glazing of the bowl is scratched through use. There is a 3 cm glaze scratch to the underside exterior. The bowl rings outs nicely when lightly tapped.
