An extremely rare sewing etui or necessaire in the form of a six shot revolver c.1900, modelled on a mid to late 19th century six shot revolver, in nickel plated brass with a black painted butt, the chamber opening when the lever is cocked to reveal a red velvet lined interior with mirror and pin slots to the edge of the chamber, containing a complete suite of gilt metal contents comprising a pair of scissors, a thread pick, a thimble and a bobbin/needle case, together with a small wooden pencil disguised as a ramrod, the butt with an end cap opening to reveal a tiny glass scent bottle with the original stopper, the top of the butt with loose suspension ring, length 6¾in. (17.25cm.), in very good condition. .
