A Chinese bronze Islamic market censer Xuande six-character mark and possibly period Of bellied form with twin ring handles, raised on three peg feet, the sides cast with cartouches of Arabic script. 11.5cm dia. Heavy wear to the rim with dents and nibbles. Handles with nibbles to the edges. One foot dented at the tip. General wear throughout.
A large Chinese blue and white sleeve vase, Gu Kangxi Of near cylindrical form with slightly swollen centre section and gently flaring rim, decorated with the 'one hundred antiques' pattern of scattered precious and auspicious objects, lingzhi fungus mark within a double ring. 42cm high Restoration to a hair crack running down from the rim and curling round. Fine tail end of the crack remains visible and no further damage or filling in beneath the restored area detectable. In addition there are two very small rim chips and two small chips to the base just above the foot rim.
A Chinese blue and white lotus dish Kangxi Of plain round form, decorated with a central lotus medallion surrounded by a repeating lotus panel joined by trailing tendrils and flowers, the exterior finished in cafe-au-lait stopping at the foot rim, with lozenge mark inside a double ring. 21.5cm dia. Minor firing flaws inside foot rim.
A Chinese famille rose punch bowl Qianlong Of rounded form and decorated with a 'Rockefeller' type pattern of shaped panels containing scenes of a high-born family in domestic settings surrounded by landscape vignettes against a dense gilt foliate ground. 26cm dia. (restored) Professionally restored to a high standard. Two sections of the rim were broken with little/no losses and have been put right with minimal overpainting to the exterior and some overpainting on the interior. The bowl retains a fair 'ring' when tapped. Refer to images.
A Chinese famille rose jardiniere Late Qing Dynasty Of fish bowl form with heavy everted rim, decorated with a formal 'brocade' pattern of lotus flowers and bats within dense scrolling foliage against a dark blue ground and within bright yellow and turquoise ruyi-head and lappet borders. 33cm high, 38cm dia. (restored) The top half of the jardiniere has been restored professionally and to a very high standard. The extent of original damage is difficult to gauge given the thickness of the body and the quality of work. However, it appears to extend to cover a significant break into four or more parts. The pot retains a good 'ring' and is of fine appearance.
A rare Chinese celadon five-spouted vase Daoguang seal mark and of the period The elegant globular body rising to four cylindrical necks flanking a taller central neck, raised on a spreading foot ring, decorated with an even sea-green glaze with white slip painted motifs of precious objects. 30cm high Two of the shorter spouts have fine hairlines. A Chinese dark green jade disc, Bi Warring States The opaque dark green stone with dark brown and cloudy inclusions of even thickness, the surface of both sides worked with 'comma' scrolls in a hexagonal grid within single line borders. 13.5cm dia. Weight: 161g. Inner circle 4.4cm dia. Thickness approximately 4mm. Three small chips to rim edge. Nibbling to inner ring edge. Natural fissure across width. Minor surface abrasions throughout - not disfiguring. Please refer to images.
