Of Louis XVI style, it is a chest of drawers with three levels, all of them with drawers arranged with ring handles and locks. The carefully carved marquetry throughout the piece stands out, with a central oval integrated into the three drawers, made with a geometric border, in turn framed by a large filleted rectangle. The front presents an interplay of volumes, with the central part of the drawer set forward and the sides recessed. The central drawers are flanked by pilasters with marquetry grooves. The sides continue the decoration of the rest of the piece, with oval geometric borders.

Beschreibung: Auf der Oberseite der Plinthe umlaufend Palmettendekor und der hohe zylindrische Sockel umlaufend mit einem Relief kleiner Amoretten, zwischen sich große Blütenfestons tragend und je großem Palmettenmotiv. Auf dem Sockel die großen Figuren von Bacchus und Ceres in tanzender Pose, über ihren Häuptern einen großen Leuchteraufsatz mit Weintrauben tragend. Jahrhunderts setzte sich an den vornehmen Tafeln Europas eine neue Art zu Speisen durch. Hatte man vorher den Tisch mit aufwändig gestalteten Schaugerichten dekoriert, die aber für den Verzehr oft recht unpraktisch waren, begann man damit die Speisen in mehreren Gängen auf Tellern zu servieren. Um den dadurch entstandenen Platz in der Tischmitte zu füllen, entstanden neue Formen der Tafeldekoration. Der hier präsentierte Tafelaufsatz war vermutlich Teil eines dieser feuervergoldeten Sourtouts. Auf einer Unterkonstruktion mit von Galerierändern eingefassten Spiegelplatten standen Körbe und Etageren für Blumen, Früchte und Konfekt, sowie Kandelaber, deren Kerzenschein von den Spiegeln reflektiert wurde. Diese Ensembles blieben während des gesamten Diners an ihrem Platz auf der Tischmitte und der Gast an der prächtig geschmückten Tafel, konnten sich als Augenschmaus an ihnen erfreuen.
