George IV gold (18ct) garnet and seed pearl cluster ring with an oval cabochon garnet surrounded by a border of seed pearls, with cast acanthus leaf shoulders, on gold shank (London 1824). Ring size K½ CONDITION REPORT Wear commensurate with age. Garnet appears to be original to the ring, although it is a mourning ring, so it is possible that the bezel may originally have had a compartment of hair rather than the garnet. The garnet has minor surface scratches and shows no obvious signs of having been replaced. The bezel is inscribed 'Alexander Mitchell Ob 1st June 1824'. Shank in very good condition and has NOT been sized and still retains a full set of hallmarks which are still very clear to read. Pearls are fairly worn commensurate with age, all appear original. Total gross weight approximately 3.4 grams

Ring size L CONDITION REPORT Very good condition. Sapphire is a vivid blue with a diagonal fissure, even distribution of colour, measuring 4.5mm x 4.5mm x 2.2mm deep. Diamonds vary in diameter from 1.5mm - 2mm and are well matched clean stones. Shank has been replaced and stamped 18ct. Total gross weight approximately 3.8 grams

Both well matched lively stones with a fairly even distribution of colour, slight 'windowing'. Diamonds all well matched, old cut stones and appear to be original, approximately 1.5mm diameter. One cluster measures approximately 10.8mm diameter. The other cluster measures approximately 11mm diameter. Total gross weight 3.1 grams. Setting and shank in good condition commensurate with age circa 1900

Late Victorian diamond five stone ring with five old cut diamonds in millegrain setting with carved gold setting, on gold (18ct) shank. Ring size M CONDITION REPORT Very good condition. The diamonds are well matched stones that appear to be all original to the ring. They are all old cut stones, fairly grey in colour with small inclusions visible with a loupe. Only one stone has an inclusion visible to the naked eye. The stones are slightly graduated in size. The centre stone measuring approximately 4mm diameter x 2.2mm deep. The two stones either side of the centre measure approximately 3.6mm diameter x 2.7 / 2.9mm deep. The two smallest stones measure approximately 3.6mm diameter x 2.4mm deep. Setting, pierced scroll gallery and shank all in very good condition. Total gross weight approximately 2.8 grams. Estimated total diamond carat weight approximately 0.80 carats

Small fissure which touches the surface of the facets on the pavilion and a small inclusion towards the centre of the stone, both of which are only just visible to the naked eye once located with a loupe. All stones are well matched and generally of good colour and clarity. Total diameter of cluster is approximately 12mm. Total gross weight 4.6 grams. The rest of the old cut diamonds measure approximately 1.5mm diameter. Open back setting
