1888 (Aug. 21) Cover addressed to Zanzibar, the reverse with ½a blue-green tied by Zanzibar three bar squared circle with a single ring c.d.s (Aug. 22) alongside, the front with the very scarce boxed "SHIP LETTER / POSTAGE DUE AN" showing a 1a charge for the 1a masters fee on ship letters. Registered Mail. 1941-45 Registered covers to Gibraltar (2), Paraguay, Dutch forces in Canada (2, one redirected to G.B) or sent locally in Jamaica, three with Kingston "4" c.d.s and circular "GIBRALTAR / CAMP", two cancelled by the double ring "GIBRALTAR CAMP" c.d.s, a sixth cover written from the camp but posted in Kingston. The covers all with differing registration labels, comprising a "GIBRALTAR" label with manuscript "Camp" (8 May 1941, the label presumably brought from Gibraltar with the refugees), blank label with manuscript "Camp Gibraltar" (24 Jan. 1942), "GIBRALTAR CAMP" (20 May 1942), "CAMP GIBRALTAR" (19 Oct. 1943) and a blank label with manuscript "Gib Camp" (15 Oct. 1945). 1901 (June 5) Mourning cover to Dartmouth with QV 10d cancelled by Blandford double ring c.d.s, a Blandford single ring c.d.s and undated parcel handstamp alongside with violet boxed "½d POSTAGE DUE FOR RETURN TO SENDER", the reverse with a further 13 Blandford handstamps including 87 duplex and numeral obliterators, triangular "BIT", oval framed "R" and Registered datestamp and "More to Pay / above - oz / 87", vertical fold, very unusual. 1911 (Jan. 23) 1c Postcard with fine Kota Bharu single ring c.d.s, addressed to the British Resident at Kuala Lipis, with Singapore and Kuala Lumpur transit datestamps. Message reads "Our new stamps have not come out yet but this is one of the postcards", arrival backstamp. A scarce early use of this card. Photo on Page 172.

Alor Star. 1911 (July 22) "On Government Service" cover to "The Advisor Kedah, Alor Star" bearing 20c and 50c singles and blocks of four all tied by the bilingual Kedah double ring c.d.s, with 23 July arrival backstamp, minor perf stains, one 50c rubbed, very unusual and scarce. 1888-95 Covers to Cutch-Mandvee in India, frankings comprising 1a (2) + 3a or a single 2a both with boxed "BOMBAY / SHIP LETTER / POSTAGE DUE 1AN", twelve ½a stamps (three strips of four) with circular "T" and "OVERLAND POSTAGE / DUE / AS / 6", 2a6p pair or 1a + 1a6p, all cancelled by Zanzibar three bar duplex type Z5, and a cover with a single 2a6p cancelled by the double ring c.d.s , some staining and other cover faults, two a little reduced. Langkawi/Kwala Muda. 1900-09 Stamps with bilingual double ring datestamps (type C, English at foot) comprising Langkawi on two 1899-1904 8a stamps, originally from the same cover, vertical crease to both stamps; and Kwala Muda on 1905-09 3a on piece (6 July 1909, final month of use of Siam stamps) or 8a (2, one thinned). Also a cover from Major Patron in Gibraltar; covers from Gibraltar evacuees in Morocco or Madeira (2); cover from Gibraltar to an evacuee in Madeira; and a G.B O.H.M.S cover with cachet of the Gibraltar Evacuation Centre in London, etc. (13).
1919-23 Stamps with Perlis single ring datestamps comprising 1919 1c (4), 2c (2), 4c (14, two on piece), 1919 50c on $2, 1921-22 1c (4), 2c, 3c (2), 4c (3, one with short sheaf variety), 5c (21) and 10c (4), also a 1922 1c postcard to Denmark bearing 1921 1c unfortunately with other stamps removed.
