Two German Paperknife Daggers, one modelled as an Army officer's dagger with plated hilt, wrythen fluted cream plastic grip and pebbled white metal scabbard (lacks one suspender ring), 19.5cm, in a fitted case; the other as a Kriegsmarine dirk, with de-Nazified alloy hilt and plated blade, 21cm, lacks scabbard (2). Army dagger with wear to plating on hilt. Scabbard has lost one suspender ring, case with some scuffing to edges and corners. Kriegsmarine dagger with wear to the hilt, some lifting to the plating on the blade ricasso and lacks scabbard.

A Pair of 19th Century Percussion Duelling Pistols by John Manton & Son, London, 28 bore, each with 25cm octagonal blued steel barrel marked on the top flat DOVER STREET LONDON, the underside numbered 6028, with no visible proof marks, silver blade fore-sight, notched rear sight, the tang engraved with foliate/martial trophy, with blued hammer, the foliate engraved steel lock plate signed JNo.MANTON & SON and with slide safety, the spurred trigger guard engraved with martial trophy and numbered 6028, with pineapple finial, two steel ramrod pipes, walnut half stock with horn fore-end tip, chequered bag butt with silver escutcheon engraved B.v.A,,39cm, contained in the original mahogany case with inset brass ring handle to the hinged cover opening to reveal a later green baize lined case fitted with original accessories of ivory powder flask with brass syringe type measure, nipple key, brush, steel bullet mould, lignum vitae mallet with brass screw end, brass jag, cap tin and lead balls. (Some restoration) Provenance:- Originally the property of Baron von Arnsdorf, Germany. Survived a bombing raid during the Second World War when they were buried under rubble. Acquired from the vendor's German friend.. Actions work, holding at full and half cock. One pistol has deep pitting to the lock plate, barrel tang ramrod pipes and underside of the barrel. Both pistols have wear to the extremities and bruising to the stocks. The case has been restored and has some splits to the cover.
A US Civil War Burnside 4th Model .54 Calibre Percussion Breech Loading Cavalry Carbine, the 53cm round blued steel barrel stamped CAST STEEL 18??, with hinged ladder rear sight, the case hardened framed stamped BURNSIDE'S PATENT/MARCH 25TH 1856/ 34402, the receiver block numbered 36871, the lock plate stamped BURNSIDE RIFLE CO/PROVIDENCE =R.I., the left side set with saddle bar and ring, walnut half stock with steel sling swivel and butt plate, the tip edge of the stock stamped **, the underside stamped ZZ, 100cm . Action and loading mechanism works smoothly. Some wear to markings. Stock has been refurbished.
A South Devon Militia Medal of Merit 1799, the obverse with a trophy of arms enclosed by a wreath, with circumscription, 'TO THE SOUTH DEVON MILITIA IN TESTIMONY OF MERIT 1799', the reverse with the Arms of Waterford, 31mm, with a small oval ring suspender, the reverse showing signs of brooching. Footnote:-The South Devon Militia were stationed in Waterford, Ireland from 1798-1799 at the time of the Irish Rebellion. In 1798 they effectively contained the uprising within the city, unlike other areas which suffered greatly in the unrest. Following this, the Freedom of the City was presented to the Colonel of the regiment, and certain selected members of the regiment were awarded this specially struck medal. It is not known exactly how many medals were struck in total, but very few have survived.. The reverse has two areas where a pin brooch fitting has previously been afixed
