General surface wear.

YABU MEIZAN; a fine Japanese Meiji period Satsuma ovoid vase with moulded ring handles, the body decorated with figures within a continuous landscape with floral upper and lower borders, signed with painted seal mark to base, height 12.25cm.Additional InformationVery minor rubbing to gilding on the whole, some discolouration and more rubbing to the rim. Also some possible tiny areas of re-painting to the gilt of the rim.

An unusual Japanese Meiji period Satsuma three section koro with rat finial above globular upper section and pierced base set with applied leaves and painted with figures, unsigned, height 15.5cm.Additional InformationRat damaged and repaired, chips to inner rim of lid, damage to the gilt ring handles, also 1cm hairline crack and inner rim chip to this section, main body has chips to leaves, one foot reattached, one with firing flaw, rubbing to the gilding throughout and the rubbing is noticeableto an area of decoration featuring a teapot.

Both with surface scratches.

A late 19th/early 20th century Chinese porcelain ginger jar and cover decorated with prunus, bearing apocyrphal six character Kangxi mark and double ring to base, height 15cm.Additional InformationGeneral surface wear, light scratches to glaze but generally in good condition.

Lot 607

A brass skeleton clock with fusée movement, the enamelled chapter ring set with Roman numerals, on stepped oval and square section marble base, height 36cm, presented beneath an associated clear glass dome, with key and pendulum.Additional InformationNot tested, no guarantee of working order. Some scratches and loses to enamel of the chaptering, general light surface wear including some scratches, pitting and tarnish.  Some pitting to the base of the dome, some small chips and nibbles to the marble base. Dome associated as stated, does not fit the base and stands precariously.

A D MOUGIN; a late 19th century French black slate mantel clock of architectural form featuring Classical-style frieze above enamelled chapter ring set with Arabic numerals, flanked by four Corinthian columns and two Classical-style figures, the male representing Apollo with lyre, on stepped base, the movement back plate with stamped manufacturer's mark numbered 242657, 35.5 x 44cm, with pendulum.Additional InformationNot tested, no guarantee of working order, numerous chips and nibbles to slate throughout, including some large losses to the upper right and both lower front corners, chaptering with a hairline running through 12 o'clock, some further minor marks, further general wear, abrasions throughout, the frieze with surface corrosion obscuring the image, will need attention.

An early 18th century century longcase clock with square brass dial set with silvered chapter ring, name plate and date aperture, with eight day movement and alter carved elaborate case depicting the story of The Prodigal Son, the dial signed Lomax, Blackburn and dating to circa 1705, with two weights and pendulum.

Lot 680

A George III oak cased longcase clock, the arched brass dial set with silver chapter ring beneath a circular plaque inscribed 'Tho & Ann Elliot, Brimhope' above arched long door and plinth base, height 203cm, with two weights and a pendulum.Additional InformationSpandrels replaced and heavy wear to the surface of the dial and that and the movement are associated to the case, missing the brass furniture and also a column upright to the canopy, a chip to the moulding on the canopy, the timber itself is very dry throughout and of poor colour. The movement is 8 day and sold with two weights and a pendulum.

A late 19th/early 20th century Chinese porcelain blue and white temple jar and cover, decorated with prunus, with Kangxi double ring mark to base, height 39cm.Additional InformationIn good condition, pitting to the glaze as one would expect and some general light surface wear, but no damage to speak of. The cover has some residue to the underside where a protective pad has been at some stage, but again this just has light pitting.

A Chinese blue and white porcelain ginger jar with wooden cover and stand, painted with four panels depicting objects inset between prunus flowers, bears Kangxi double ring mark to base, overall height 41cm.Additional InformationThe base has a crack running through, general surface wear, light scratches to glaze, the stand has a large split running through and a piece broken out, the wooden rim also has a split (see additional images). The crack that can be seen from underneath is only visible from the outside, not from the inside. Height of jar only 24cm.
