A FINE CHINESE WHITISH-CELADON AND RUSSET JADE SNUFF BOTTLE of gently tapering square form, with mask and ring handles and a pronounced quatrefoil base, one side with vertically-arranged russet markings, Qing, probably Qianlong, 2.5"" high. A CHINESE WHITISH JADE ARCHER`S RING of cylindrical form with an angled top, Qing, 1"" high; and a soapstone example carved with stylised characters, 1"" high (2). Provenance: The Collection of Dr. Julian Deveron Redmill (1916-1993), and thence by descent. Probably acquired on the London Art Market in the 1950`s.
A CHINESE BRONZE KNIFE COIN, of gently angled form with a curved end and ring handle, the upper surface with nine archaic characters, the handle with two horizontal lines, probably Warring States, 7.25"" long. Provenance: The Collection of Dr. Julian Deveron Redmill (1916-1993), and thence by descent. Probably acquired on the London Art Market in the 1950`s. This knife coin is unusually large, pointing to an early date, probably within the Warring States Period. It is very rare to find an example with so many characters on the blade. For a comparable six-character example, see Wang Yu-Chuan `Early Chinese Coinage`, 1951, plate 29.
A FINE CHINESE PARCEL-GILT CENSER of hexalobed form, the pierced cover above a segmented body of leaf-decorated gilt panels finely rendered with auspicious creatures amongst foliage, with lion mask and ring handles, on hoof-shaped feet, Qing, 18th century, 4.25"" wide. Provenance: Private collection, West Sussex.

An Oak Centre Seconds Longcase Clock with Bolt and Shutter Maintaining Power, signed Jno Skirving, Edinburgh, circa 1775, swan neck pediment, 12-inch arched brass dial with a silvered chapter ring, arch with a silvered plaque signed, four pillar movement with deadbeat escapement and rack striking on a bell, 218cm high 08.10.14, Case has been cleaned, hood with later frets, later bracket feet, dial and movement are clean.
A Mahogany Eight Day Longcase Clock, signed William Pridgin, Hull, circa 1780, pagoda pediment, trunk and the plinth with quarter form mouldings, 12-inch arched brass dial with a silvered chapter ring, scroll engraved centre with seconds and date aperture, arch with a painted seascape and signed above on a silvered plaque, four pillar movement with anchor escapement and rack striking on a bell, 255cm high 07.10.14, Polished case, hood sides with chips to the mouldings, slight cracks and scratches in parts, dial is clean, movement looks complete.
