A Late 19th Century French Ormolu and Porcelain Mounted Figural Mantel Clock, signed Robelin of Paris, the 3.5ins diameter porcelain dial decorated in colours with putti and birds in a landscape, the chapter ring with gilt Roman numerals within circular cartouches, to the eight day two train movement striking on a bell, contained in ormolu and porcelain mounted case surmounted by two figures of a putti holding a scythe and a bacchante holding a cup on a rustic outcrop, the base inset with three porcelain panels decorated with putti and with bold leaf scroll front supports, 14.5ins high, and with later wooden plinth for same Provenance: Christie's London - Auction 13th December 2006 - Lot 34
