Condition Report; Larger example: Currently not in working order. There are a couple of hairline cracks to the dial, one running from 10 - 2, and one running from 9 to the subsidiary seconds dial. No other chips or losses. All numbering and letters in good order. Glass in good order, some scratching and wear only. Moderate loss to the enamel on the exterior case. Heavy scratching to the glass on the cover. Some denting to the front, sides and reverse, heavy scratching and loss to the plating concentrated on the reverse and loop. Front cover opens smoothly and closes with a snap, reverse cover opens smoothly but does not close securely.Smaller example: Currently not in working order. Glass and subsidiary seconds hand missing. Hairline crack to dial between 9 and 12. Some scratching to the numbers and lettering, but this is largely in good order. Some loss to the enamel on the outside cover, heavy scratching to the glass. Small dents to the reverse, sides and cover, heavy scratching and some loss to the plate around the loop. All covers open smoothly and close with a snap.
An Art Deco sapphire and diamond ring, the central rectangular emerald cut Burmese sapphire (measuring 12.12mm x 8.81mm x 5.20mm), approximate weight 5.66 carats, with three square cut diamonds to each shoulder, all set in white metal to a plain polished shank, approximate ring size M, weight 4.7gms With accompanying Gemmological Certification Services report no. 81298-70, stating that the carat weight is 5.66ct approx, that the stone is a natural corundum sapphire, of Myanmar (Burma) origin and there are no indications of heating. Condition Report; Central Sapphire: Good order. There is a small fracture to the girdle/underside of the stone, located at one of the canted corners just next to the claw. This measures approximately 1 - 1.5mm across. It is not visible from a table view of the stone. There is also a very minor nibble to one of the corners on the girdle. This is only visible at 10x. There are some very minor scratches and signs of light wear to the upper facets, but no other fractures or nibbles. All facets edges are crisp and sharp.All diamonds are present and in tact. No chipping or fractures, very minor wear only. They are bright and sparkly when viewed face up, and do not show a notable draw of colour. A couple of the diamonds show very small inclusions under a 10x lens.All stones are secure. There is damage to the gallery setting (one of the bands is broken and may require repair - see side profile pictures for illustration. There is some wear to the claws around the sapphire. Evidence of re-sizing to the band.Also pictured: The stone is shown in two pictures with direct torch light shining behind it.
