Jenings, London an oak longcase clock the eight-day duration movement having finned pillars and striking the hours on a bell, with brass bound weights, the twelve-inch square brass dial having a raised chapter ring engraved with black Roman numerals and makers name R. Jenings, London, the matted centre with date aperture and subsidiary seconds dial, with cast-brass cherub-and-crown corner spandrels, the associated oak case with Greek-key crossbanding, the hood having fluted columns and an architectural pediment top, height 210cm inc. finial.Notes: Possibly by Robert Jennings of St Sepulchre parish, apprenticed 1691 and a Freeman of the Clockmakers' Company from 1703 until 1735, died circa 1743.

William Stevens, Cirencester, an oak longcase clock the eleven-inch square brass dial having a raised chapter ring engraved with black Roman numerals and signed Willm. Stevens, Cirencester, with the centre engraved with a river scene, now fitted with an eight-day duration movement striking on a bell, the flat-top oak case with gilt-wood capitals to the hood pillars, height 184cm.William Stevens, formerly of Gloucester, is recorded as working in Market Place, Cirencester from before 1775, when he advertised for an apprentice, until at least 1793 when he placed an advert for his goods in a local publication.

Gilbert Kidd, Malton, a mid-eighteenth century oak longcase clock with later carved decoration, the eight-day duration movement striking the hours on a bell with the twelve-inch brass break-arch dial having a raised chapter ring engraved with Roman numerals, the dial centre with engraved decoration and subsidiary seconds dial and date aperture, with cast-brass female-head spandrels to the four corners, the arch with a silvered boss engraved with the makers name Gilbert Kidd, Malton and cast-brass dolphin spandrels, the flat-top oak case with later Victorian carved decoration with the hood having three-quarter turned pillars, height 230cm.Gilbert Kidd is known working in Malton, Yorkshire in the mid-18th century with his death recorded there in 1778. A second maker of the same name is then known working in 1786, later trading as Kidd & Nephew until 1807, presumably alongside Thomas Kidd who is recorded at Malton from 1807 until his death in 1823. There are a number of longcases known signed by the Kidd family with some examples signed by Gilbert Kidd said to resemble that of the great maker Henry Hindley of York.Reference Brian Loomes Yorkshire Clockmakers

Dent a Paris, a French brass carriage clock, engraved case, the rear door with dust covers, rectangular enamelled dial with Roman chapter ring and subsidiary alarm dial, repeating alarm movement, height 13cm, with carry case and associated keys.Condition report:The clock winds, ticks (don't know yet about accuracy), repeats and alarms correctly, case is good, inscription on the dial is worn, associated case and three keys.The underside of the case, internal aspect of the movement door, and base plate below the winding peg are stamped '3016'. Then there is another number stamped on the back of the front movement plate which appears to be '3960'.
