A Splendid Quality 19th Century Gilt Bronze Mantel Clock by Lepine. The enamelled dial having a red painted calendar ring, with a convex glass door edged in a jeweled & beaded border. The drum case surmounted by an eagle with outspread wings and cradled by floral swags held by darkly patinated bronze cherubs. The visible bob pendulum ornamented with an Apollo sunburst face mask above an elongated oval grey marble base with a beaded edge above scrolling foliate pierced gilt brass frieze and grapevine paterae. Standing on ribbed bun feet 18 ins (46 cms) in height, 17 ins (44 cms) wide, 5 ins (13 cms) deep.
A Splendid 19th Century Red Tortoiseshell & Gilt Bronze Clock Set. The Louis XV inspired scrolling clock case surmounted by an asymmetric crest of flowers & foliage with feathery acanthus sprays adorning the scrolling sides festooned with pendant floral garlands and sweeping down to form voluted feet. The clock dial signed A. MESNARD & FILS BORDEAU, inset with enamelled numeral cartouches with Roman numerals counting the hours and an outer ring of Arabics counting the minutes. The case 21 ins (54 cms) high. The accompanying candelabra each having two candle cups raised on sweeping foliate cast branches with a spur of foliage to the centre above tortoiseshell veneered supports, 16 ins (41 cms) in height.

The silvered chapter ring with matted centre housing a calendar aperture and inscribed Laidlaw, London. The arched top having a Strike/Silent dial bordered by gilt brass spandrels. The back plate ornately carved with a basket of flowers encompassed by scrolls of undulating foliage; with similarly engraved brackets & backcock. The richly patinated case having a raised top with carrying handle and concave sides with pineapple finials at each corner. The glazed door bound in brass moulding and having two brass sound frets flanked by canted corners applied with pendant garlands. Standing on gilt brass ogee feet. 21 ins (53 cms) in height, 12 ins (31 cms) wide, 8 ¼ ins (21 cms) deep.
A Small 18th Century Clock Movement by John Halifax Barnsley housed in an extraordinary heavily carved oak case with canted sides, finialed pediment & wall bracket, 47 ins (120 cms) overall in height, 29 ins (74 cms) wide. The 4¼ inch (11 cm) wide brass face engraved with tulip heads and foliage in feathered borders and having a silvered chapter ring encircling a matted centre, with a silvered roundel to the arch inscribed John Halifax Barnsly. The single fusee movement with verge escapement, bob pendulum and an ornately engraved back-plate.
A Fine 19th Century Brass Skeleton Clock by Ebenezer Thompson, Sloane Street, London. The silvered chapter ring adjoining the lyre form mechanism with a fusée movement and anchor escapement. Covered by a glass dome on a mahogany plinth base with compressed bun feet 12½ ins (32 cms) in height, 7½ ins (19 cms) wide, 6 ins (15 cms) deep.

The arched top housing a painted moon roller. The flame mahogany hood having a swan-neck pediment above scrolling blind fret-work panels and a glazed door flanked by Corinthian stop fluted columns. The sides having a mirrored arches decorated with astrigal beading. The long trunk door with egg finial above the base raised on ogee bracket feet. 86 ins (219 cms) in height.

The arched top richly engraved with scrolling foliage and centred by a decorative mount of two winged cherubs holding a crown. The hood having an arched top cavetto moulded cornice above two columns with gilt capitals flanking the glazed door. The well figured burr veneered case having a long trunk door with a moulded edge. Standing 86½ ins (220 cms) high, 21¼ ins (51.5 cms) wide, 9¾ ins (25 cms) deep.
