Movement overhauled and cleaned, cosmetic polishing of the case and brass lacquered parts. The scale frets to the sides may be replacements or are clean rebacked in modern cloth. In the same good restored condition as when at the time of purchase by the family of the present owner at auction in Shropshire in 1989 for £4200Movement overhauled and clean at the same time the case lightly repolished prior to purchase from R G Cave & Sons Ltd, Antique dealers, Ludlow, Shropshire in 1982 for £1650.Please note there are two minor cracks to the case on the right hand side. The movement in working order, the lock to the rear door is attached but present. The Strike/Silent finger may be a replacement. There is some discolouration to the silvering of the chapter ring and other parts of the dial. Please note in the interests of full disclosure that a staff member of Mellors & Kirk has an interest in this lot being a relative of the original purchaser, now deceased.
