An 18th century mahogany crossbanded oak eight-day longcase clock, the four-pillar rack and bell striking movement with 12 inch brass square dial with Hoho bird border engraved calendar aperture, ringed winding holes and silvered seconds ring to the matted centre, within an applied silvered Roman numeral chapter ring with fleur de lys half hour markers and Arabic five minutes, within female mask scroll cast spandrel applied angles, in a flat-top case with ogee moulded dentil cornice over turned hood pilasters and arched trunk door with oval cartouche inscribed 'I.A.' and bearing date '1782', flanked by fluted quarter columns, on raised panel plinth base with shaped apron, case, movement and dial associated, 206cm high.
A 30 hour lantern clock, mainly dating from the 18th century with traditional movement subject to restoration and modifications, anchor escapement, locking plate striking mechanism, turned bell bracket supports with replacement bell, rope drive, The clock is fitted with a 10 inch square dial having cherub spandrels supporting crowns, engraved chapter ring bearing makers name Richard Weller of Eastbourne with steel single hand, pendulum and weight.
