Large Photographic Album Compiled by a Member of the US Army in Europe, the small size black and white images have been mounted into a ring binder album. Many good images taken whilst in the service in Europe including images in Germany and Italy, including the images of Benito Mussolini and his girlfriend hanging in Rome square. Good images of comrades in uniform, regimental sports events, battle damage etc. Approximately 570 images.
Interesting WW2 USAAF Photograph & Scrap Album, consisting of a good selection of personal snapshot photographs many taken whilst stationed overseas during WW2. Leather patch removed from US Army Air Forces suitcase? Portrait photograph of pilot in full flight gear, various documents, certificate, images of barrage balloons, letter taken from the body of a casualty in August 1944, plus other ephemera items. Some British and Canadian items also included in the album. All housed in a ring binder file.
A set of four Lucie Rie and Hans Coper cups and saucers, all bar one cup double stamped, each approx 8 cm diameter x 7 cm high, the saucers 14 cm diameter, together with a further saucer, double stamped, two saucers unstamped and two saucers with cut indentations unstamped (13 pieces total) (ARR) CONDITION REPORTS Inspected under UV - nothing showing.All items have general wear and tear to include surface scratching, especially to the saucers where cups and cutlery have clearly been used on them. One cup has a couple of small chips to the foot although most probably done in the firing process. See images for more details. The same cup and another have a slightly dull ring however there is nothing evident to cause this. See images for more details.
A Moorcroft wisteria plum pattern preserve pot with plated mounts, bears impressed Moorcroft mark and No'd M162 to base 9.5 cm high excluding swing handle CONDITION REPORTS The plated mounts are very worn, tarnished, etc. The jar itself has heavy crazing throughout as well as some staining and discolouration. In need of a good clean and has a very dull ring.
A Lalique “Malesherbes” vase 23 cm high CONDITION REPORTS N.B. signed to base "R Lalique France" and "No. 1014". Condition - whilst basically sound, shows some loss to the staining / shading on the leaves throughout variously. See images for further detail. One leaf showing signs of a small ring, probably an air bubble burst - part of manufacturing fault. See images for further detail.
