GUILLAUME PETIT; an exceptionally rare mid-17th century English verge enamelled pocket watch, the outer and inner case enamel painted with figures in landscapes titled 'Hylas et Sylvie', the dial with Roman numerals to the chapter ring and very detailed foliate engraved decoration to the centre and with single hand, the movement signed 'Guillaume Petit, Londini', with verge fusee movement, worm and wheel setup, pierced and engraved masked cock and Egyptian pillars, diameter 5.2cm.Additional InformationThe watch is presented in remarkable condition , light surface scratches and tiny pin head sized pitting marks to the enamel, the movement is not currently functioning but the dial and case in good condition. Very small area of exceptionally good restoration to the enamel. The weight of this item is 103.3g. The case appears to be base metal, it may be brass or brass on copper, however it is difficult to determine.

Musson, Louth 7546', with slow/fast indicator, pierced and engraved masked cock and rounded baluster columns, both inner and outer case hallmarked for London 1864, diameter of dial 4.4cm, diameter of outer case 5.5cm.Additional InformationThe outer case has some tarnishing and some surface scratches, it retains several old watch papers, the watch itself is in good order. Movement ticks when wound. Light surface scratches to the dial and some light tarnishing and very small dents to the case.
