A fine and impressive emerald and diamond cluster ring, the central emerald cut natural emerald of very high quality and approximately 2.7 carats, surrounded by twelve Old European cut diamonds total approximate weight 1.5 carats. (See front cover illustration) Condition report: The emerald is a good colour, good cut, medium tone, very very good saturation. With reference to the GIA colour wheel it is approximately vstbG (17) 5/6. The facet edges are a little abraded. There is possibly a small fissure to corner of stone, this does not seem to go right through. The stone is slightly included. There is nothing which detracts from the general impact of this piece.
