With a 76cm double edged broad-sword style partially fullered blade with remnants of etched decoration, The handle with boat shell guard, pas D'Anes rings and wire wound handle and large acanthus ornamented urn shaped pommel. The leather scabbard with three mounts and twin ring suspension. Possibly Scottish. 100cm overall length.

A fine Naval Dirk with a 41cm tapering straight blade with central fuller and remains of blued decoration, with a straight 'S' guard and closely wound twisted silver wire handle, the leather scabbard with twin mounts and single ring suspension. 55cm overall.
A FINE LATE 18TH/19TH CENTURY MARINE OFFICERS FIGHTING SABRE. With a 77cm curved single edged pointed blade with broad fuller, partially blued and decorated with a standing figure of Britannia, GR cypher and pre 1801 Royal Coat of Arms, marked to the back of the blade 'Osborns Warranted'. With a stirrup hilt with Lion's head pommel, wire wound grip and langets with fouled anchor surrounded by laurel leaves. The elaborate scabbard with three brass mounts finely engraved with military trophies, serpents and foliage, with twin ring suspension. 92cm overall. The laurel wreath enclosing a fouled anchor was the badge of the Royal Marines prior to 1827 when the globe was added.
AN 1805 NAVAL WARRANT OFFICERS' SPADROON. With a 70cm straight, tapering and pointed blade with engraved decoration, the stirrup hilt with black fish skin grip, plain oval pommel and backstrap with central groove, the langets with fouled anchors, in a leather scabbard with three mounts with twin ring suspension, the top mount engraved 'Read Sword Cutler Portsmo'. 84cm overall length. This sword is reduced in length as they were issued to Midshipmen with the length appropriate to their height.
A LIGHT INFANTRY 90TH REGIMENT PATTERN SWORD. With a 68cm curved pipe back blade with traces of original engraved foliate decoration and possible battle honour. With stirrup holt with broad fish skin handle with three rivets with decorative heads, the langets with slung bugles, the leather scabbard with three decorative mounts and twin ring suspension marked for 'Baker & Son 24 Bedford Street Covent Garden' all within a laurel wreath and beneath a crown. 86cm overall. This pattern of sword was made specifically for ther 90th Regiment during the early years of the 19th century.

With a 71cm curved single sided blade with broad fuller, partially blued and gilt with GR cypher beneath a crown and military trophy, the stirrup hilt with langets and side ring enclosing a fouled anchor, the front langet with engraved conjoined initials. The leather scabbard with three gilt brass mounts, the top mount marked for 'Knubley and Co. No.7 Charring Cross, London'. 86cm overall.

With an 82cm straight pointed fullered blade marked to the back 'Runkel Solingen', decorated with a GR cypher and crown amongst scrolls and a military trophy and post 1801 Royal Crest to the other side. With a stirrup hilt, black fish-skin grip bound with wire, elaborate lion's head pommel and langet engraved with fouled anchors. The leather scabbard with three brass mounts and twin ring suspension, the top mount marked for R.Johnston late Bland & Foster Sword Cutler & belt maker to his Majesty 68 St James' Street, London' dated 1803 to the button and with owners initials 'FL'. 103cm overall.

With a broad 75cm curved pointed and fullered blade marked to the back 'Runkel Solingen', decorated with Royal coat of arms, GR cypher beneath a Crown, the stirrup hilt with Crocodile headed back strap, the black leather grip wound with wire, the langets with fouled anchors, The black leather scabbard with three mounts and twin ring suspension. 94cm overall length, Although Dirks with Crocodile decoration are relatively common sabres are much less regularly encountered.
