We can trace only 2 other copies at auction (Crahan and Leon Lambert sales). It provides an intimate view into the 17th century French household. It outlines the rules that each servant in the household should follow including cooks and maitres d`hotel and the social and moral duties owed by a master to his employees. Brief discussion is also made of the types of food and drink that should be made available to servants. Claude Fleury was a friend and protégé of Bossuet. .

With chapters on Arabic and French coffee French tea and fermentation and with references to quinine Lullus and Arnaldus de Villanova. Aignan cultivated barley and rye in Brittany which he roasted to produce a "French coffee"; a cheaper alternative to arabica beans. He also produced a natural remedy tea made from dried balm leaves..

Obverse dulled, reverse with some toning spots, otherwise extremely fine with much original colour, very rare Augustus Cove, a dealer in china and glass, took a lease on a wharf at Paddington basin, but held that he was criminally and unjustly treated by the landowner, the Grand Junction Canal Company. He published a book on his experience, The Tocsin Sounded; being a Case submitted to Sir S. Romilly, proving the Crime of Swindling, Perfidy, &c, &c, transacted upon the property of Augustus Cove, by and through the means of the Grand Junction Canal Company, the first edition of which appeared in 1813; this medalet was used to publicise his plight
