First edition in book form, 2 vols., 8vo (232 x 138mm.) 71 hand-coloured aquatint plates including frontispieces, 1 wood-engraved plate of the 'Five Orders', numerous wood engraved illustrations. (Light browning, some offsetting, spotting and occasional minor soiling, neat repairs to p.iii and p.107 in vol. I also title and p.213 in vol. II.) Later full crushed morocco, by Riviere & Son, spine gilt in six compartments with raised bands, lettered in the second and third, the others with repeat foliate decoration in gilt, gilt turn-ins, g.e. (extremities lightly bumped). Provenance: Hugh Sartorius Whitaker (armorial bookplate to front pastedowns); Peter & Margery Morris (bookplate to front-free endpapers); S. After John Ogilby, late 17th century strip map of The Continuation of ye Extended Road from Barnstable to Truro from the "Britannia" by John Ogilby, published in 1675 with later hand colouring . This map is Number 34 of 100 maps in the atlas and is entitled "The Continuation of ye Extended Road from Barnstable to Truro." CLARICE CLIFF BY BILLIE WATERS 'ART IN INDUSTRY' DEER PATTERN PLATE circa 1934, designed by Billie Waters (1896-1979), base stamped 'Designed by Billie Waters' with signature, 'Produced in Bizarre by Clarice Cliff, Wilkinson Ltd' and 'Copyright reserved, First Edition 1934', 25.5cm in diameter Note: In 1933 a project began to involve leading artists of the day in designing wares which were then produced by Clarice Cliff in the Bizarre workshops. The results were displayed in a Harrods tableware exhibition in 1934. The Art in Industry Exhibition then toured the country and the public could place orders for the exhibited designs.

Scarce Folio Volume1798: [Castlereagh (Lord)] Report from The Committee of Secrecy, [-House of Commons] 21st August 1798, reported by Rt. Hon. Lord Viscount Castlereagh. Folio [D. n.p. 1798] First Edn., 27pp + 'Papers Annexed to the Foregoing Report,' [4], 298pp., containing Appendix 1 - XXXIX, a few pages have had manuscript notes etc which were written on wide borders, cut away, not affecting text. (1)* This report is similar to the later 8vo edition issued by J. King & W. Sleater, and deal with the activities of the United Irishmen. The folio edition was not published commercially and were probably advance copies for members of the House only, and are very rare.
