2001 Ferrari 360 Modena Spider Transmission: manualMileage:28000The Ferrari 360 was manufactured from 1999 to 2005 and succeeded the F355. It is a mid-engine, rear-wheel drive and V8 powered coupé. Ferrari partnered with Alcoa to produce an entirely new, all aluminium space-frame chassis that was 40% stiffer than the F355. Along with a lightweight frame, the new Pininfarina body styling deviated from traditions of the previous decade's sharp angles and flip-up headlights. The new V8 engine utilised a 3.6 litre capacity and, despite what looked like, on paper, as modest gains, in reality the power to weight ratio was significantly improved. The first model to be rolled out was the 360 Modena, followed later by the 360 Spider and finally, as a special edition, the Challenge Stradale.Finished in an out of range body colour, specially ordered at the time, Tour de France blue with tan leather. This stunning manual 360 Spider has covered a mere 28,000 miles from new and has been with our vendor a private owner for the past decade. Originally registered on 24th May 2001 this four previous owner example boasts a service history with Maranello initially between 2002 and 2008 (six services including cambelts twice) before Rosneath continued to service the car five further times up until 21,906 miles before servicing was then taken over by SMDG for a full cambelt service at 22,992 miles. Our vendor purchased the car as the second owner in 2004 with just 1,112 miles on the clock from Maranello for £121,000 and owned for four years until 2008 when he sold the car to a Ferrari collector and registered under Knight Frank LLP but our vendor regretted the decision and five years later in 2013 decided to buy the car back to place in his collection having such fond memories of the car. Supplied with the Ferrari Certificate of Conformity the car was specified when new with red brake calipers, electronically operated seats, xenon lights with power wash, enamel Scuderia wing shields, Daytona seat inserts and a six-disc CD changer. The manual 360 is fast becoming a prized asset for collectors and in what has to be one of the best colour combinations for a spider we have seen this is a fabulous opportunity to own one of the best drivers Ferrari's of the modern era, our vendor liked it so much he bought it twice!
