Squadron Leader M.P. Peter Brown AFC signed Book Hornchurch Scramble by Richard C. Smith. 1st Edition 2000 Introduction written by Squadron Leader M.P. Peter Brown AFC and signed with a personal message concerning 2nd June 1940 when his Squadron 611 were led in to combat for the first time over Dunkirk by the Flight Commander of 92 Squadron, Flight Lt R.R.S. Tuck. One of The Few S/Ldr Brown flew Spitfires with 611-41 Squadron in the Battle of Britain. Good condition
First wartime HMSO edition 1942 of the RAF booklet UNSIGNED We Speak from the Air containing 23 true accounts of the war in the air broadcast by BBC Radio. Because it was wartime for family security the names of all the participants were withheld. But the extract from. Contents. readily reveal a number of names e.g. Chapter 3 Sqn Ldr Bob Stanford Tuck, Chapter 11 Sgt James Allan Ward VC to name but two, and more are identified by research. 75 year old in.
