She was interested in education and is most well-know for her works Advice from a mother to her son (1726) and Advice from a mother to her daughter (1728). The present work was first published in 1727.

Contents generally very good and bright, occasional pale spotting; binding tight and solid, some wear to calf, lacking title label.
