A selection of well-known illustrated Books for Children generally in good order but missing their dustjackets: Peter Pan and Wendy by J M Barrie illustrated by Gwynedd M Hudson (1931 Hodder & Stoughton for Boots Pure Drug Co Ltd). Publisher's statement reads: “Do you know that this book is part of the J. M. Barrie 'Peter Pan Bequest'? This means that Sir J. M. Barrie's royalty on this book goes to help the doctors and nurses to cure the children who are lying ill in the Great Ormond Street Hospital for Sick Children in London'. Inscription to Roger Holmes from Beryl Browning Xmas 1933. Boards worn and spine is away, however the black and gilt decorated front board's design is reasonable. Internal condition is good and the quality of the twenty-one full page illustrations and typeset design would warrant quarter rebinding. Peter Pan in Kensington Gardens by J M Barrie with drawings by Arthur Rackham (Seventh Edition 1910 Hodder & Stoughton).
