2001 Mercedes-Benz SL500 Silver Arrow Transmission: automaticMileage:54600The 4973cc, R129 Mercedes-Benz SL500 carried on the tradition of the fast and reliable grand touring convertible from Mercedes-Benz. Born out of the earlier 500 SL models, the new SL500 featured many new and innovative ideas for the time such as controlled electronic damping, automatically expanding rollover bar and a more modern multi-link rear axle. 2002 Renault Avantime Privilege Transmission: automaticMileage:106770Renault poured a staggering 1.4bn francs (€285m) into development of the world’s first MPV coupé following the reveal of the Concept in 1998 at the Paris Salon. Remarkably true to the original design, the 'Avantime', built by Matra, was a genuine mould-breaker that offered a luxurious cabin with ‘Theatre’ seating, pillarless side windows and a full panoramic sliding glass roof. 452 were sold in the UK, half being two litre Turbo ‘Dynamique’ models, the rest were specified with the highly capable three litre V6 engine and called ‘Privilege’.Our Avantime is a top-of-the-range V6 Privilege with automatic transmission, specified in bright ‘Illiad’ blue with black leather upholstery and satellite navigation. 2004 Jaguar XKR Carbon Edition Transmission: automaticMileage:87016The XK8 is a grand tourer car that was launched in 1996 and was the first generation of a new XK series available in both coupé and convertible body styles and with the new 4.0 litre Jaguar AJ-V8 engine. The 1998 XKR was introduced with a supercharged version of the engine. Both the XK8 and XKR are electronically limited to a maximum of 155mph; the top speed of its predecessor, the XJS V12, being 158mph. A navigation system and self-levelling xenon headlamps came as standard with the XKR with Jaguar's adaptive cruise control as an optional feature available on both models. Both come with all leather interior, burr walnut trim and side airbags. Jeremy Clarkson, during a Top Gear test drive, likened the interior of the original XK8 to sitting inside Blenheim Palace. The Carbon Edition was offered by Jaguar in 2004 with only 100 cars produced. A split of 50 convertibles and 50 coupés were built, with a bonus for the lucky clientele of an invitation by Jaguar to a complimentary short break at Skibo Castle or Bovey Castle to celebrate their new purchase.This rare, desirable 2004 XKR Carbon Edition was supplied new to a very high specification. 2007 Smart Fortwo Convertible Brabus Red Edition Transmission: manualMileage:112734The Smart design concept began at Mercedes-Benz in the early 70s and late 80s. After brief backing by Volkswagen, the first model was released by Daimler-Benz in October 1998. Designed on the base of the Fortwo Brabus, this limited-edition example can be distinguished by its bright Intense Red colour and is powered by a 75bhp, three-cylinder turbo charged engine, with a top speed of 150km/h, unlike the other Fortwo cars that were traditionally restricted to 135km/h. The passenger compartment has seats and door linings in Alcantara leather and red top stitching, the speedometer, clock and turbo pressure gauge have the same red surrounds and the dashboard is covered in black Alcantara. Other than that, the car shares the major elements of the Brabus versions, such as the twin exhaust, 16” Monoblock alloys and various accessories to assist the passengers such as air conditioning and paddle shift steering wheel.This Fortwo Brabus Red Edition convertible has had three former keepers from new and was acquired by the current vendor in 2016.
