A Scarce 1932 first edition book of Das Braune Heer, by Heinrich Hoffman, plus 16 loose postcard style publicity ‘Sammelwerk Nr.15’ images from pre-war Germany, depicting rallies and parades etc. Hard cover with half binding, 96 pages with numerous photographs depicting the early days of the NSDAP movement, including rallies, parades and training exercises. One of only 30,000 published first editions. Page 44 has the image of Ernst Rohm, who after the ‘Night of the long knives’ had his image replaced in later editions of the book. He also appears on page 70 in a group shot. Approximately 18.8cm x 25.3cm. Condition: missing its original paper slip outer cover. Some soiling / foxing to a number of the pages, plus a little crumpling to the bottom of some of the pages. The book’s internal pages would appear to be complete. The loose images have some normal light surface wear from handling, with some having some light creasing to the edges.
