With plates by T Stothard. Original binding From the Gifford ' George ' Stansfield Broun collection (the majority of which was sold in our Militaria sale on Feb 26th this year). A gentleman from a wealthy background who travelled around Africa in the early 20th century (c 1905 - 1920) and travelled through Africa at the outbreak of the First World War WWI, taking his private journals and photograph albums with him. This is from his personal collection at that time. Rare.
