Beatrix Potter has, on the title page, crossed out 'Philadelphia' and has written "Copyright of the Author in Great Britain and Ireland, Entered at Stationer's Hall." (she was concerned about UK copyright). 8vo 1929 good copy. Nancy Nicholson was Beatrix Potter's favourite niece and young companion. They shared a love of fairy stories and the wonder of nature. This friendship lasted the author's lifetime. Some of the ideas in The Fairy Caravan come from fairy tale letters they exchanged. (See front cover illustration)
