Warhol (Andy).- Green (Samuel Adams) Andy Warhol, first edition, designed by Ben Brillo, printed on cream green and silver leaves, plates, a few leaves loose (as often), original cloth-backed wrappers, upper cover featuring Campbell Soup tins, very slightly rubbed and soiled but a good copy, 8vo, Philadelphia, Institute of Contemporary Art University of Pennsylvania, 1965.⁂ Scarce catalogue of the artist's first museum exhibition in 1965. In the crush at the press night some of the paintings were damaged so they were removed before the official opening the following night, effectively making Andy Warhol himself the exhibit and creating his status of Pop Art icon.
