And they were funny, enormously so, and I was well aware that it had become our feature - a kind of blending of words and drawing which gave it an individuality of its own, but a dual one. Whenever your drawings, for whatever reason, were absent, the whole thing looked and felt flat to me, and the writing not nearly so good. I hope I will be missed by the Graphic readers, but I have no hesitancy in saying that the Graphic has retained the better half of the team', 23rd January 1950), Winston Graham (2; in one stating '"The Grove of Eagles" did very well, but I'm not really sure that this variety that you praise is popular with the mass of readers. They dearly love to know exactly what they're going to get….Your collection of signed books must be unique', n.d., and in the other briefly referring to The Tumbled House, n.d.), Ronald Kirkbride, John Castle (referring to Flight Into Danger and providing the address of Arthur Hailey in Canada, 9th March 1959), Paddy Manning O'Brine (2; referring to the imminent birth of triplets and also commenting on Passport to Treason being filmed 'at the moment with American actor Rod Cameron as Michael O'Kelly.
