A Clarice Cliff Brangwyn panel no.27, designed circa 1930, the piece hand enamelled in bright colours with a myriad of figures, flowers and animals depicting life in the tropical forest, diameter 43.5cm. First exhibited in Olympia in 1933. "The British Empire Panels" were designed by Frank Brangwyn and commissioned by Lord Iveagh for the House of Lords to commemorate deceased peers, the original panels are now on display at Swansea Civic Centre, Clarice Cliff adapted designs from three of Brangwyn panels for limited edition wall plaques which were produced by Royal Staffordshire pottery.
