A Cutaway model of a Howard 810cc twin cylinder engine on wooden stand, powered via a electric drive motor housed below with switch mechanism to show it working with a perspex surrounding case AF. We understand this was one of three produced by the Howard Service Department Staff at West Horndon in Essex. This item was on display at the company's training school until closure and was later transferred to the Harleston Factory.

Each sheet covers a week's time period with a different quote from Clemens over the same river scene. Approximate Dimensions:h. 9.5", w. 6"Condition:Wrapper is in very good condition with edge wear and small chip at lower front of wrapper and two small chips to back lower. Wear along spine. Overall nice solid copy of a very scarce Twain item.
A George III Gentleman's Mahogany Wardrobe, the upper part with moulded cornice, fitted hanging rail enclosed by a pair of oval panel doors, the base fitted two short and two long drawers, on bracket feet, 50ins wide x 25ins deep x 84ins highAll three edges of the cornice have edge knocks and some slight rubbing. To the frieze there are various signs of shrinkage running vertically from one end to the other. On the left-hand side of the top at the front there is a large area of damage/timber loss around 4ins in diameter, the slightly recessed back there is an area of veneer repair around 2ins square. The right-hand side of the back in the centre there is a small area of timber damage around a quarter of an inch in diameter. The doors are slightly faded due to sunlight damage, and there are extensive signs of shrinkage on each of the doors, especially in the cross banded oval panels, and sadly, the doors are slightly warped. The drawers run free with little resistance. Key is present and locking mechanism works. On the right-hand side of the base there is a shrinkage split running vertically from one end to the other, and the same on the left-hand side. General heavier wear to the feet, commensurate with age and usage, overall the item is structurally sound, with little or no movement in the joints
A Georgian Oak Bookcase, with moulded cornice, fitted six shelves enclosed by a pair of astragal glazed doors, on plinth base, 47ins wide x 14ins deep x 83ins highTo the top of the cornice on all three front edges there are edge knocks and general rubbing, to each side and the base there is general scattered scratching and darker staining and the front is unevenly faded. There is heavier dirt and filth build up between all of the mouldings of the glazing. Key is present and locking mechanisms work however it is slightly warped at the higher end of the right door. Heavier darker scratching and water marks to each shelf. Overall the item is structurally sound with some movement in the joints and to the back right hand edge and left hand edge there are some more extensive edge knocks and timber loss. General heavier wear to the base commensurate with age. Overall the item is in fair condition.

An 18th Century Oak Dresser, the upper part with moulded cornice, fitted three shelves, the base fitted four drawers with cupboard under enclosed by fielded panel doors, on block feet, 63.5ins wide x 20ins deep x 75ins highTo the top at the cornice on the right hand side there are some areas of shrinkage and at the front with a diagonal shrinkage split around 4ins long. On the side a shrinkage split where the boards meet the uprights vertically from one end to the other. And in the centre another shrinkage split running vertically from one end to the other. On the left hand side there are shrinkage splits running vertically from one end to the other. The shelves of the top - all the backboards are showing signs of shrinkage. On the second backboard there is an area of repair in a triangular section and general shrinkage splits running vertically from one end to the other all the way along. To the top of the base and the shelves there is general scattered scratching. heavier staining (water marks). To the top of the base the rail is missing a piece of timber around 3ins long. There is a wide shrinkage split running horizontally in two places from one to the other. On the left hand side of the panels areas of shrinkage with horizontal shrinkage splits running from one end to the other, and the same for the right hand side. Drawers run free and easily with minimal resistance, however there is some slight shadowing around the handles. On the left hand door there is a shrinkage split running vertically from one end to the other, also the centre door on the right hand side. Also the right door in two places on the left hand side. General heavier wear to the base and feet commensurate with age. Overall there are flight holes present, evidence of historic woodworm. Unevenly faded. The item is structurally sound with little to no movement in the joints.
An Early 20th Century Kashkuli Rug woven in colours of fawn, navy blue and terracotta, with a bold central hexagonal medallion flanked by urns, the field filled with stylised birds, butterflies and deer on a terracotta ground, conforming spandrels within three stripe borders, signed, 59ins x 43insThe rug lies fairly flat on the floor. There are no signs of rucking, historic moth damage or areas of low pile/wear. All edges are intact. The colours are slightly faded due to sun damage. There are no foul odours emitting from the item. This item appears to be in fair to good condition.

A George III Mahogany Secretaire Bookcase, the upper part with dentil moulded cornice, four shelves enclosed by a pair of panelled doors, the base with secretaire drawer, and two drawers under, shaped apron and splayed feet, 39ins wide x 19.5ins deep by 80ins highTo the top of the cornice there are some slight edge knocks and general rubbing to all three edges, there is some loss to the dental frieze with some small .25ins square piece of timber missing. On the right-hand door the moulding is loose but present, on the right-hand side at the top there are three areas of circular polish and veneer loss. The right hand side has a small shrinkage split running vertically about 6ins long at the top. The whole is unevenly faded and there is some darker staining, especially on the door panels and at the top of the base. The drawers run free and easy with minimum resistance, key is present, locking mechanisms work. When opening the secretaire drawer the leather lined slope has been heavily distressed, especially in the centre where it folds. There is some darker staining of ink inside the wells. General heavy wear to the base and feet commensurate with age, overall the item is structurally sound, however, there is some movement to the joints, and there appears to be some flight holes present, evidence of historic woodworm

A 19th Century French Beech Wood Framed Armchair, the moulded frame carved with flowers, the back, seat and arms upholstered in pale blue striped cloth, on turned and fluted legsGeneral scattered scratching and darker staining to the wooden components of the frame. At the top left hand side, right hand side and where the crest rail connects to the arms there are signs of shrinkage and the joints are slightly loose with proud pegs, and on the back there are areas of repair on the left hand side and a piece of timber at the top of the crest rail that appears to have been glued back on. The upholstery appears to be in good overall clean condition with no obvious tears or rips or stains, however it is heavily worn on the arms and is beginning to fray and the surround of the crest rail at the top has loose fabric. General heavier wear to the feet and legs commensurate with age. The item is structurally sound however there is some movement in the joints.

A Late 19th Century Miniature Brass Carriage Clock, retailed by Thornhill, 144 New Bond Street, London, the silvered dial with Roman numerals to the single train movement striking and repeating on a bell, contained in brass and bevelled glass Corniche pattern case, 3.25ins high Externally the gilding is a little dull and shows a mark to the top of the case on the rear of the right hand side, about 10cm circular (where it possibly someone has tried to test the case to see if it is gold?) All the glasses are intact and appear to be undamaged, likewise the door, the hinges are good -it opens and closes - the movement appears to be complete but we cannot vouch for its originality. the clock winds, runs and sets but should be regarded as untested. There is a key present. The whole of the chair at the back it is different colour to the legs and the seat. Back legs appear to be replacements. Joints are tight and the item is structurally sound with little to no movement to the joints.The other chair - light scattered scratching to the whole. The seat has some watermarks and darker staining. Again the back has pegs that are proud and the back legs are a slightly different shade to the back and seat, they are either heavily faded or have been repaired/replaced. The back left hand leg there is a small area of timber damage around 0.25ins square. Joints are tight with little to no movement. The pair are in a fair condition.

The interior shows general signs of shrinkage around the leather lined slope. The leather appears to be have been replaced and is in generally good condition. General light scattered scratching to the whole and some darker staining. All three front edges of the top at the cornice have some slight edge knocks and general rubbing. There is some slight uneven fading to the top and the front and the right and left hand sides. Some minor scattered areas of parcel gilt loss all over. The mirror panels appear to be in good overall clean condition. All the door panels are present. One appears darker but in our opinion does not appear to be a replacement, there is a grain to the panel and it just appears to be a shade darker than the others. There are no obvious areas of damage, loss or restoration. The key is present and locking mechanisms work. There is some slight oxidisation to the metal components. General heavier wear to the feet commensurate with age. The doors are slightly swollen and the item is structurally sound with little to no movement in the joints, however the item is a little uneven with one of the feet slightly shorter than the other. There is a small area of timber loss to the back right hand leg which is making it a little uneven, however the whole appears to be in generally good overall and honest condition with no obvious damage, loss or restoration.
A Chinese Hardwood Three Piece Lounge Suite, the low backs and arms inset with fretted scroll panels, and on square legs, comprising - three seat settee, 72ins (183cm) wide x 29.5ins (75cm) high, and a pair of matching easy chairs, with loose cushions in floral and bird chintz Sofa - the upholstery of the cushion appears to be heavily stained in various places. However there are no obvious tears, rips or wear to the seat or cushions. There are no foul orders emanating from it. The arms are slightly faded. To the whole there is some light scattered scratching and some heavier rubbing to the crest rail. The item is structurally sound with little to no movement in the joints. There is general heavier wear to the feet and base commensurate with age. One armchair - heavily faded with some light scattered scratching to the whole. The upholstery of the cushions is quite stained and faded however there are no obvious tears or rips to the fabric and there are no foul odours emanating from it. Structurally sound however there is some movement in the joint at the back and general heavier wear to the feet and base commensurate with age. Second armchair - light scattered scratching to the frame. The seat and cushion are slightly stained and discoloured. However there are no obvious tears or rips to the fabric. No foul odours emanating. The chair appears to be structurally sound with little to no movement in the joints and there are general signs of wear to the feet and base. Overall this lot is in fairly good condition.

The right hand side has a piece of canvas/calico that stops the top from falling over, but this piece is missing on the left hand side. General oxidisation to the brass components. The lock plate at the top of the interior of the top is missing and it appears to have a replacement lock plate at the front as there are two holes on the inside of the chest. the base boards of the interior have some shrinkage gaps in between them. There is shadowing around the later escutcheon. General heavier wear to the base commensurate with age. Overall the item is structurally sound however there is some movement in the joints

A 19th Century French Provincial Cherry Wood Kitchen Table, with five plank cleated top, draw leaves to both ends, plain frieze, on square tapered legs, 73ins x 34ins x 32ins high The top has dark scattered scratching and watermarks. The edges have knocks and rubbing. Flight holes present on the underside and top, evidence of historic woodworm. The top is heavily bowed and the drawer leaves do not run easily and signs of shrinkage between the planks. General heavier wear to the legs commensurate with age. An Early Victorian Figured Mahogany Gentleman's Wardrobe, with moulded cornice, plain frieze, fitted two shelves enclosed by a pair of arched panelled doors, the base fitted two short and three long graduated drawers, 38ins wide x 20ins deep x 75ins highTo the top of the cornice around all three edges there are some slight edge knocks and rubbing. To the frieze there is some general scattered signs of shrinkage with vertical shrinkage splits present from one end to the other. On the left-hand side of the top there is small area in the centre of slight grazing, and on the right-hand side is a "J" shaped scratch around 12ins long, however, this item appears to have been re-polished quite recently and it is barely visible. To the face on the left, top and right-hand sides there is some general light scattered scratching and on the base of the right-hand side there is a deep gouge running horizontally around 4ins long. Drawers run free and easily with minimal resistance. General heavier wear to the bun feet commensurate with age. Overall the item is structurally sound with little or no movement to the joints, and appears to be in fairly good, overall condition
