A fabulous vintage 1960's Japanese made Modern Toy Co. ' Toy Town Express ' battery operated tinplate railway locomotive. ' With Merry Engineer!' Fully working order. Moves along, lights up, engine shakes and the 'Merry Engineer' pops his head around the cab to take a look. Charming item. Appears near mint, within the original box (inner packing still present).

An early 18th century English gold memorial ring, set with a flat oval garnet and two pear-shaped rose-cut shoulder diamonds, the back of the bezel carved with gadroons radiating upwards from a small oval-shaped centre, cut-down collet with small claws and bifurcated shoulders, engraved to the shank interior 'To Remember my Father's help in taking Guardalope (sic) 1759', size L In 1759, as part of Prime Minister William Pitt's (1708-1778) ongoing operations to divert French troops from Germany by attacking them wherever he could, a British expedition was sent to the West Indes with the intention of seizing French possession after the 6 month long battle to capture Guadeloupe, they finally received the formal surrender of the Island just days before a large French relief force arrived. A WWI ERA, EARLY ISSUE BRODIE STYLE HELMET, which is believed to have been made in the UK and was purchased privately by British Officers at the start of the War, this example is in very good condition and bears the cap badge of the 'Lancashire Hussars' information suggests that the design of the helmet was such that the pressed wrinkled pattern all round the helmet, made it less effective against Shrapnal and was banned by the Army, it was only then seen being worn by Portugese troops throughtout WWI, this helmet is rare and a great collectors item
