A mid-19th Century Mahogany Oak and Boxwood inlaid 8-day Longcase Clock, G Lupton, Altringham, the case with swan neck pediment over free-standing reeded columns to a moulded throat and long trunk door, flanked by quarter columns on a plinth base to a 13" arched brass dial with moon phases to the arch over cast spandrels enclosing a Roman and Arabic chapter ring with outside minute track, engraved centre with subsidiary seconds and date and blued steel pierced hands to a circular Brass movement with plates united by four knopped pillars and with anchor escapement strike on two bells, height 87" 800-850 Condition Report: Case – Previously restored – splits to hood door, mouldings loose on throat, split to base. Dial – Old restoration and moon phases repainted Mvt - Currently free and running but will require a clean, probably associated. GB Lord Russell handsigned autograph envelope with 1837 postmark sent to Lady Lockwood at Tunbridge Wells (she was sued for desertion by husband at about this time). As a politician (City of London MP, and layer Prime Minister) Russell was allowed to use 'Freepost' and it was necessary to handsign envelope. Red wax elaborate seal to reverse., small tear at top, rear flap missing, but rare historical item.

Pistol: An extremely rare WW2 SOE WELROD MKII assassination pistol. Calibre .32/7.65mm. Serial number of this weapon is 0091 (approx 2800 made) possibly 1600!! Simple grip safety. Detachable rubber grip containing an 8 (?) round magazine. Action is a manually operated single action, operating with a 6 or 8 round magazine. This pistol conforms with all the specifications and was before deactivation, a firearm. An interesting item with de/act certificate. a/f
Rifle: A scarce 4mm cal 'Zimmerstutzen' with the Stiegle Action No11. Rearsight, double set trigger. This is an indoor target rifle popular in Germany, Austria & Switzerland prior to WW1. The butt is in the Schiveitzer Backe style. The action is cocked by the lever under the barrel. Triggerguard and buttstock contoured to fit the shooter. A very unusual item. It is a section 58 (2) obsolete calibre under the current Firearms Act. Very good working order and condition. A collectors lot.
