Pear shaped sapphire, indicated 2.29ct, in 750 yellow gold surrounded by diamonds in a pear shaped mount, overall length 27mm, on a 750 white gold trace chain, gross weight 10.2g Condition report: sapphire medium blue to pale, no abrasion, transparent; the round brilliant diamonds have even colour, I-J, clarity SI, approx diam. 1.61mm, indicated 1.07ct in total. Overall the item is in very good condition.
Victorian silver basket, the lobed bowl with a scrolled handle on spreading foor, Charles Lias, London 1838, diameter 31cm, 34oz 1dwt. Condition report: hallmarks rubbed but legible, full set on bowl, maker's on handle and base; no splits or repairs, some light bruising, uplift ring around the well, no inscriptions, no signs of rubbing out. Overall the item is in good condition.

A 19th century Indian 18 bore percussion gun, 53” overall, barrel 38¾” with faint traces of proofs and tall brass rearsight at the breech, the Enfield lock stamped “1860/ Tower” and with traces of crowned “VR”, fullstocked with 5 thin steel barrel bands and Enfield brass trigger guard, the butt decorated with domed steel nails, tiger claws and percussion caps set in wax like substance, and with large rounded block covered with animal skin, with a simple iron ramrod. GWO & C (worn commensurate with much use). An untouched item, probably brought back from the Afghan War of 1878-80
A good Italian ceremonial hunting knife, c 1700, broad blade 12”, with bowie type tip, chiselled panels at forte, on one side depicting a rampant lion in conflict with a scaled monster and on the other a pheasant perched on the head of a fallen similar monster, triple deep fullers to remainder of blade surrounded by etched scrolled panels, with a recumbent antelope at the base on one side and a hunting dog on the other, shaped horn grip with silver cup into blade, and applied engraved open work silver foliate panels, incorporating eagle on one side, lion on the other, and dog on the top with naked nymph underneath demon’s head pommel cap. A fully detailed working example fitted with sprung buffers, drop link coupling to front, drawbar coupling to rear, brass Salter safety valves, whistle and copper capped chimney. Fitted with hand brake, water gauge, lamp brackets with lamps, plus footsteps, hand rails, etc. GC-VGC some light restoration and re-commissioning required. Sold as a collector’s item only.
