A SUBSTANTIAL EDWARDIAN DIAMOND DROP PENDANT BROOCH set with estimated approx 4.57cts of old brilliant cut diamonds, in white metal millgrain settings, backed in yellow metal. The size of the diamonds start at 0.50cts to approx 0.07cts. Dimensions 4.8cm x 3.4cm, weight 9.2gms Condition Report:I cannot test the metal, it would ruin the item. Overall bright clean and white, no flaws eye visible. Largest diamond, twinned crystal scar to the left of the table, only visible by eye if you really look for it. The diamond directly below this one has a chip to the edge possibly due to a thin girdle and the millgrain setting. Applies to all some clear feather/crystal inclusions and a tiny bit of carbon.

Dean Gaisford's 'Magnum Opus' With Important Correspondence etc., included Gaisford (Dean Thomas)ÿEtymologicon Magnum, seu verius Lexicon saipissime vocabulorum origines indagans ex pluribus lexicis scholiastis et grammaticis anonymi cuisdam opera concinnatum. Lg. thick folio Oxford (e Typographeo Academico) 1848. Frontis fac-simile, engd. vignette on title, strongly bound cont. hf. calf, raised bands. With the Den's bookplate. The Etymologicum Magnum, compiled in Constantinople c 1150, is the largest Byzantine lexicon, collating and expanding the works of many previous scholars.ÿ It was first printed at Venice in 1499.ÿ Gaisford?s work, the fruit of much careful scholarship, remains the most recent complete edition. ÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿ This copy has tipped in at back: table giving details of print run and costs, also a review and an obituary of Gaisford. Impressive Working Model of a Royal Flying Corps SE5a Fighter Plane, the model is produced in a balsa wood with fabric covering. Engine to the interior part and wooden two bladed propeller. The wings all with wire attachments and a model of a RFC pilot to the cockpit. We believe that this model to be working, however not tested and we have no controls. Sold as seen. We are not able to offer in house post and packing on this item, personal collection only.
WW1 Royal Flying Corps Officers Mess Rum Barrel, superb quality wooden barrel with polished brass bands and tap fitting. To the centre a rectangular brass plaque with finely engraved nine feather Royal Flying Corps pilots wings. Cork stopper to the top of the barrel. Generally very good condition. Often pilots and observers / gunners would have a glass of brandy or other alcoholic beverage before taking flight to calm nerves. This type of item can often be spotted in period images of officers mess rooms etc.
Great War French Aviation Squadron Escadrille 3 “The Storks” Wooden Commemorative, fine painted in the French national colours, wooden figure of the famous stork in flight, which was the symbol of this famous French fighter unit of WW1. Painted to the body and wing is “Lt Lieux Charles Escadrilles M.S.3 & M3 – 1914-1918”. Small ringed fitting and cloth tie to the top. Some areas of paint loss. But still an interesting item. Escadrille 3 Les Cigognes ('The Storks') was a famous French aviation unit during the WWI. It was often referred to as the 'Stork Escadrille N3’ due to its insignia.Pilots from Groupe de Combat 12 adopted the name and placed images of storks in different phases of flying on their planes.
WW2 Polish Air Force Signed Postcard, fine coloured postcard with a Polish Knight of the Sky behind a aircraft in flight. With signature and dedication to the lower section with date 15-8-1943. Card is mounted inside a frame of aircraft Perspex mounted to polish wooden propeller section with Perspex made pilots wings, edges and stand. Very interesting item.
