Martin Barre (Jethro Tull) - 1987 Marshall Silver Jubilee model 2553 JCM25/50 guitar amplifier, made in England, ser. no. 04098, small box head and custom 4 x 12 cabinet *Provenance: This amplifier was purchased by the current vendor from the personal collection of Hugh Manson in Exeter, Devon, UK. It was formerly owned by Martin Barre of Jethro Tull and still has the original faint yellow chinagraph pencil marks of Martin's settings intact. Also, it still has the original clear plastic sticker on the front and back panels. This was one of three similar amps Martin Barre used with Jethro Tull. This was his primary amp and is labelled number 1 by the input. Hugh Manson has a long association with Martin Barre and purchased this from him and used it as his workshop amplifier for many years before selling it directly to the current vendor. The cabinet is a unique item made after asking Marshall Amplifiers to build a matching 4 x 12, Marshall obliged and provided the cabinet, using original Silver Jubilee vinyl they had leftover from the first run in 1987. Sold with a signed letter of provenance from the seller.
Jimmy Page played and signed Dearmond by Guild M-75T electric guitar *On Monday 4th March 2002, Jimmy Page jammed with Epsom College pupils in a concert to raise money for street children in Brazil. The vendor, who's son attended Epsom College, bid on the item and ended up being the lucky winner. The guitar is sold with a photograph of Jimmy Page playing a Gibson Les Paul at the event. It is widely know that Jimmy Page rarely signs guitars.
