Advertising Poster - Pin-Up Calendar 1947 by George Petty. George Brown Petty IV (April 27, 1894 – July 21, 1975) was an American pin-up artist. His pin-up art appeared primarily in Esquire and Fawcett Publications's True but was also in calendars marketed by Esquire, True and Ridgid Tool Company. Petty's Esquire gatefolds originated and popularized the magazine device of centerfold spreads. Reproductions of his work were widely rendered by military artists as nose art decorating warplanes during the Second World War, including the Memphis Belle, known as "Petty Girls".Country: USA. Browning, scratches, tear and wear signs on the cover; most sheets in very good condition with faint creases in margins, apart from the January and February sheets with browning and staining in margins.

A framed and glazed "Murray's Ales Craigmillar Breweries Edinburgh" advertising mirror flanked by two photographic studies of racehorses "Bahram" and "Brown Jack", within an egg and dart decorated ebonised frame, 62 cm x 117 cm overall CONDITION REPORTS Mirror has some black dots/corrosion to the silvering in various areas throughout. The paintwork of the two side panels is flaking in various places. The images of the horses are slightly discoloured and Brown Jack has some peeling to the right hand edge. There seems to be some residue of dirt, varnish or glue-like substance to the edges of the panels. Item as a whole has general wear and tear conducive with age and use. In need of a good clean, surface scratches, knocks etc to the frame - see images for further details
A George I giltwood and gesso framed wall mirror, the broken arch pediment with feathered scrolling foliate and flower head decoration, over a Vauxhall plate and scrolling foliate and flower head decorated pediment, 49.5 cm x 93 cm CONDITION REPORTS Black specking to the mirror. There appears to be some scratches into the mirror as well. The top has been broken off and so has one decorative item of moulding and the other is missing. Various small cracks, splits, chips, scratches, scuffs, marks etc. Some losses. All over general various signs of wear and tear throughout
An early 18th Century walnut kneehole desk, the top feather-banded and with applied moulded edge above a single long drawer and kneehole with recessed cupboard door flanked by two banks of four drawers with brass swan neck handles, raised on bracket feet, 87 cm wide CONDITION REPORTS Fading, uneven fading, cracks, splits, losses, chips, impressed marks, scratches, other marks, damage to the veneer etc throughout. Cracking to the moulding of the edges and splits to the bottom boards. Damages to the veneers and hinges to the door need attention. The door has lost its handle and the door has splits. Some drawer stops are missing with woodworm holes to the back. All over various general signs of wear and tear throughout. This item is a project
19th century Chinese pierced and carved bamboo perfume stick depicting figures in a forested garden setting, red silk to the interior, framed by two discs of rhino horn with wooden camp and stand, 18cm. Certificate 10 is available for this item. We have been advised by the APAH that it would be extremely unlikely that an application to re-export this item would be approved. CONDITION REPORT: Wooden top - one flat chip to top surface, triangle 6mm base.Rhino horn top has ?natural? flaw/missing area of semi-circular shape.Bamboo - appears to be in good condition, small amount of wax residue at top edge of arving.Rhino horn bottom =- appears in good condition.Wood stand - also has wax residue. Red pleated crepe paper to interior.

TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR 1960-61 Superb item, a hard backed exercise book containing on each page a 6" x 4" photograph (glossy) of the eleven Spurs players who made up their usual Double -Winning team whilst opposite the photograph is the autograph of the relevant player which normally says "Best wishes " followed by the signature of the relevant player. The remainder of the book has full details of Spurs 1960-61 season, results , scorers, attendances, appearances etc plus one other signature (possibly Hollowbread). Photographs and signatures are Bill Brown, Peter Baker, Ron Henry, Danny Blanchflower, Maurice Norman, Dave Mackay, Terry Dyson, Les Allen, Bobby Smith, John White and Cliff Jones. Good
CROYDON COMMON FC Two official Croydon Common FC team selection cards posted to L.L.Tucker in August 1910 plus programme for Croydon Common practice match 20/8/1910 with Tucker listed as playing for the Red team v the White team.. The final item is a Croydon Common FC letter to Tucker dated 24/2/1910 indicating that he stands a good chance of being added to the playing staff. Croydon Common were in the Second Division of the Southern League in 1910-11 having been relegated the previous season. Interesting selection of items. Generally good
MUHAMMAD ALI - FRAZIER - FOREMAN A magnificent framed shadow box collection, three signed boxing gloves together with three photographs. The boxing gloves have been signed by Muhammad Ali, Joe Frazier and George Foreman and are displayed in a large shadow box. Signatures have been confirmed and verified to be authentic and signatures match known examples. Signed in black sharpie and valued in June 2016 by "valuemystuff.com" between £2,000 and £3,000. The authenticity certificates on the back of the item are as follows: The signed Ali glove comes with a certificate issued by Steiner Sports Memorabilia Inc, the Foreman signed glove comes with a certificate stating that the gloves are issued on behalf of George Foreman Enterprises and there is a photograph of Foreman with the glove. The Frazier signed glove comes with a Superstar Greetings INc New York certificate signed by Frazier and with a photograph of Frazier, The complete item is registered with Online Authentics. com , the certificate of registration being ISIS Registry number OA-7812234. The signatures are prominent and it has been verified by Garry King and was originally displayed in the Las Vegas Boxing Hall of Fame. The gloves signed by Ali and by Frazier are Everlast Gloves, the Foreman signature is on a specially made Foreman Glove. The three photographs show Ali (then known as Cassius Clay) with arms aloft after knocking out Liston, 25/7/64, Ali knocking out Foreman 30/10/74 (Rumble in the Jungle) and Ali fighting Frazier 8/3/71, Fight of the Century. The colour photographs measure 20cm x 25cm (2) and the other measures 18cm x 24cm. The complete item measures 106cm x 77cm x 15cm depth and was previously sold at Juliens Auctions in Beverly Hills. RUGBY UNION- ALL BLACKS 1997 Seven items relating to the 1997 All Blacks UK Tour. Includes scarce 32 page All Blacks Tour Itinerary, match ticket, Dinner ticket and Wembley Stadium menus for Luncheon and Buffet and match programme for Wales v New Zealand 29/11/97 at Wembley. Final item is a white fold over card containing the signatures of 17 members of the Ireland squad who faced the All-Blacks 15/11/97 in Dublin including Wood, Elwood, Popplewell, Johns, Dawson, Hickie etc. Good
MARK JONES-1958 A sad item, the programme for the memorial service for Mark Jones held at Wombwell Parish Church, 14/2/58. Mark Jones was sadly one of the eight players who lost their lives in the Munich Air Disaster, 6th February 1958. He was a Yorkshire and England schoolboy International and he made over 100 appearances for United from 1950 onwards. This four page programme for the service does have minor stains but is otherwise in good condition. Good
