Charles I, a cast and chased gold Royalist badge, unsigned [by T. Rawlins], crowned bust right with long hair, in falling lace collar, wearing collar and George of the Garter, carolvs d g mag britan fran et hib rex fi d, rev. crowned royal arms within Garter, wreath border both sides, 45 x 36mm, 20.50g (Platt I, p.160, type A [A1, this item]; MI I, 360/232 and pl. xxxii, 9 [only recorded in silver and silver-gilt]; Farquhar, BNJ 1905, p.261; E 168). Loops filed off at top and bottom and tiny surface blemishes in reverse field, otherwise extremely fine, a choice contemporary cast, extremely rare £8,000-£10,000 --- All other gold examples of this badge seen in commerce in recent years show evidence of having the fields stippled in the style of John O’Brisset, the early 18th century artist.
Tribute to Henrietta Maria of Bourbon, 1628, a silver medal by N. Briot, conjoined shields of England and France crowned, hm monogram below, henr mar borbon d g mag brit fran et hib reg, rev. svpereminet omnes, tree in grove, ships in distance behind, date below, 29mm, 5.48g (Platt I, p.119, type A [A1, this item]; MI I, 249/23; E 110). Very fine or better, with light olive-grey tone £300-£400 --- There is a signed version of this medal with Briot’s initials replacing the date on the reverse.

Item probably conceived as a tool to promote theatre bookings for his show. An unusual item of Gogia Pasha memorabilia. Folded with various edge tears, longest 5", folds out to 15" x 20"
* Battle of Britain. The punch-out panel from Wing Commander 'Paddy' Finucane's Spitfire, the oval perspex panel with 6 holes for fixing with evidence of small stress cracks and general surface scratches, old adhesive marks and inscribed in pen '436', approximately 15 x 25cm, sold with a letter of authenticity supplied by Andy Saunders (Battle of Britain authority) QTY: (1)NOTE:Provenance: Originally acquired by the late Mr Pat Nelson of Bexhill-on-Sea, East Sussex during the 1970s. Mr Nelson was chairman of the Wealden Aviation Archaeological Group and was given the item from a Mr Batchelor who had been the rigger for Finucane at RAF Hornchurch during WWII. The panel was removed by Mr Batchelor when he replaced the canopy on Finucane's Spitfire due to damage. It was subsequently purchased by Andy Saunders in the mid-1970s and sold on and resided in the Halstead War Museum collection formed by the late Ken Anscombe until it was purchased from the auction of contents on 8 December 2018 (Lot 729).Wing Commander Brendan Eamonn Fergus 'Paddy' Finucane, DSO, DFC & Two Bars (1920-42), was a WWII fighter ace credited with 28 aerial victories but could be as high as 32.He joined the Royal Air Force as a pilot in August 1938 and after passing training converted to training in Supermarine Spitfire from June 1940, on 13 July he was posted to No.56 Squadron at RAF Hornchurch.Finucane's first victory was on 12 August 1940 during the Battle of Britain. He was credited for two enemies destroyed, two probably destroyed and one damaged during the Battle of Britain.In April 1941 he joined No.452 Squadron flying offensive patrols over France (aka known as the Circus offensive). During this period he destroyed 20 German aircraft.Finucane was promoted to the Squadron Leader with No.602 Squadron and within six months was credited for a further six individual victories bringing his tally to 28. In June 1942 he was promoted to Wing Commander and was the youngest in the history of the RAF.On 15 July 1942, he took off for a mission over France but his Spitfire was damaged by ground fire and he attempted to fly back across the English Channel but was forced to ditch into the sea. His body was never recovered.

A fine memorial medal in patinated bronze, the centre with a seal of a sphinx within 'Born Aug 22 1771 John Rickman Died Aug 11 1840'. with what appears to be a hair mounted below. In original leather case. 9cm x 8cm. Described as a pubic servant and statistician John Rickman is best remembered as the originator of the Census in England. *CR: Slight scuffs to exterior. A nice item. *BP 22.5% (18.75% plus VAT) plus a lot fee of £8 inc. VAT on each lot.

FOUR VINTAGE CHILDRENS TOYS, to include a Toy Town telephone exchange, red tinplate, discolouration to the yellow plastic and stickers, but appears generally complete, a battery operated patrol phone by 'Kanto Gosei Kogyo' item number 87, one set with two in a box, red in colour, a Cosmo battery operated cable car with light, red in colour with blue string, include is an instruction manual signed Rigi electric number 9991 and a Collette's Modern Kitchen, in pink, with custard powder box and other utensils, some boxes have signs of distress with panels missing and squashed, unsure as to their completion but most seems to be present inside boxes
