A 14ct Gold Mounted Oval Cameo Brooch, carved with cherubs eating fruit, 65mm x 55mm, a 14ct gold mounted lava rock bracelet, the central oval panel carved with a putti with lyre, with serpent pattern bracelet, and a 14ct gold mounted intaglio ring The intaglio ring presents in good overall condition showing wear commensurate with age and moderate usage. The interior of the ring shows some sign of repair but this is historic and is in tow places where additional plates have been added to the rear to support the structure of the ring. The intaglios themselves present in good condition other than one, the black one, which has some damage to the front. Overall an honest piece. The bracelet is damaged, the clasp has snapped away from the two outer parts of the bangle. Overall the carving is quite nice and there is no damage to the intaglio itself, however it does present as a fabricated piece, the centre intaglio being mounted in an item that was possibly a previously a bracelet. The cameo brooch presents in fair condition, it does, however, have a crack running the complete length horizontally across the piece, approximately 10mm down from the top The frame is in good condition. There is also a further  crack to the rear at the bottom.Prospective buyers are strongly advised to study all images carefully prior to bidding as these form part of the condition report.

A 17th Century Italian Walnut Cabinet, with moulded edge to top, fitted one shelf enclosed by a pair of doors with applied lozenge-shaped mouldings and conforming sides, and on bracket feet, 39ins wide x 23ins deep x 37ins highTo the top there is some general heavy scattered scratching and darker staining, around all three front edges of the top there is some rubbing and general edge knocks. On the left hand side there is a small shrinkage split on the moulding running horizontally around 1ins long. Between the two planks that make up the door at the top there is a shrinkage line or split running horizontally from one end to the other.  On the right hand side of the top there is a small area of veneer repair in a triangular section. Flight holes present to the back evidence of historic woodworm. On the right hand side there is a shrinkage split running vertically from one end to the other, the same on the left hand side. Key is present and locking mechanism works. General heavier wear to the plinth base and feet commensurate with age. Overall the item is structurally sound with little to no movement in the joints.

A Late Victorian Black Painted Cast Iron "Falkirk" Pattern Park Bench, the ends with leaf scroll ornament, slatted seat and back, 83ins wideThe cast iron and painted ends have significant scattered paint loss and oxidisation to the exposed parts. The teak slats are highly distressed with lichen and moss build up and the fourth slat from the top in the centre has broken on either end and is loose but present. There is red staining on each of the bolts that attach the slats to the frame. General heavier wear to the feet commensurate with age. Overall the item is structurally sound however there is some movement between the ends and the slats and it has a slight wobble.

A Lady's 18ct Gold Automatic Wristwatch by Rolex, model Oyster Perpetual, serial No. 998925, 18ct gold case, 24mm diameter, white dial with black baton numerals and subsidiary seconds dial, on conforming 18ct gold Rolex bracelet, gross weight 53.3gThe item presents in good overall condition showing wear commensurate with age and fairly heavy usage. The bracelet shows some sign of wear, there are marks to the exterior but these will polish out. There are some small dents to the rear case, these are of no real consequence, the glass/crystal is clear from any sign of obvious damage or previous repair. The dial maintains all of its colour and the numerals are clear and concise. The clasp functions correctly. On the cross banded front edge there are some signs of shrinkage with small vertical lines each around 2ins long. Around all three edges of the top there is some general rubbing and slight edge knocks. Key is present and locking mechanisms work. Some light general heavier wear to the legs commensurate with age. Overall the item is structurally sound however there is some movement in the joints.

A Pair of Chinese Hardwood Jardiniere Stands, Late 19th/Early 20th Century, with pink flecked marble slab insets to top, fretted and carved aprons, on carved legs with claw and ball feet, 24ins (60.96cms) diameter x 18ins (45.72cms) high One table - The marble has general scattered heavy scratching and the outer edge has two vertical shrinkage splits each around 2ins long.  On the left and right hand sides there are two horizontal shrinkage splits each around 2ins long. Around the very outer beaded edge of the top there is some general rubbing and edge knocks. On the back left hand leg there is a split running vertically around 4ins long.  General heavier wear to the legs and feet commensurate with age. Overall the item is structurally sound however there is some movement in the joints. Other table - General heavy scattered scratching to the marble top. On the outer edge there are two vertical shrinkage splits each around 2ins long and two horizontal shrinkage splits each around 2ins long and on the right hand side there is a wide shrinkage split.  General heavier wear to the legs and feet commensurate with age. Overall the item is structurally sound however there is some movement in the joints.

A Quartz Movement Wristwatch, by Omega, Model De Ville, plated case, 32mm diameter, cream dial with gold baton numerals, on non-conforming leather strapThe item presents in good overall condition showing no obvious sign of previous damage or repair and showing wear commensurate with age and moderate usage. The case itself has some very light marks commensurate with said wear. The glass is free from any significant damage only a very very light marks, viewable under light. The dial appears to be in good condition, showing no obvious sign of any cracks or discolouration. The watch winds, runs and sets but should be considered as untested and is at the moment functioning. The strap is an after-market leather strap with and after-market buckle. A Platinum Diamond Halo Ring, set with a centre oval diamond, approximately 1ct, surrounded by small brilliant cut white diamonds, with further brilliant cut white diamonds set to shank, size I, gross weight 5.1gThe item presents in condition commensurate with age and medium usage. There is one small stone missing from the shank, all other stones are present and appear to be securely set, all claws are present. The centre stone appears to be in good condition, there is no obvious sign of damage or previous repair to the item. The item bears a full hallmark for platinum and a maker's mark of SSD. A George III Mahogany Rectangular Drop Leaf Work Table, inlaid with stringings, fitted two short and one deep drawer with double dummy drawer front to one side and with dummy drawers to the other, on slender turned legs and castors, 37.25ins wide x 17.75ins deep x 30.5ins highTo the top there is some general heavy scattered scratching and darker staining and all four edges of the top have some edge knocks and general rubbing. The inlaid stringing to the top is beginning to bubble.  Drawers run free and easily with minimal resistance. Key is present and locking mechanism works. General heavier wear to the legs commensurate with age. Castors run fairly free and easily. When looking at the interior of the larger drawer the top two handles have been over tightened and the screw has pierced through the piece of timber. On the underside there are flight holes present, evidence of historic woodworm. The item has been repolished. On the left and right hand sides underneath the flaps there are horizontal shrinkage splits each around 6ins long.

An Edwardian Rosewood and Inlaid Side Cabinet, the whole inlaid with fan and arabesques, bell flower and ribbon ornament, the upper part with scroll moulded pediment and turned finial to centre, dentil moulded cornice, on slender turned supports, inset with arched bevelled mirror panel, flanked by mirror backed cupboards enclosed by single astragal glazed doors, the drop centre base fitted central frieze drawer, cupboard under enclosed by a pair of astragal glazed doors, flanked by drawers and cupboards enclosed by panelled doors, on square tapered feet, 60ins wide x 17ins deep x 94ins highTo the upper part the cornice around all three front corners there is some slight rubbing and general edge knocks. The back mirror plate has scattered areas of foxing and it is slight distressed. To the top of the base there is some general light scattered scratching. Drawers run free and easily with  minimal resistance. Key is present and locking mechanism works. General heavier wear to the feet commensurate with age.  Overall the item is structurally sound and appears to be in a good condition.

An 18th Century Walnut and Pine Sided Chest, pine top with moulded edge, the front inlaid with cross bandings, fitted two short and three long graduated drawers, on bracket feet, 40ins wide x 21.5ins deep x 39.5ins high To the top there is some general heavy scattered scratching, darker staining and circular water marks. Around all four edges of the top there are some edge knocks and general rubbing. On the front right hand corner on the edge there is extensive molding loss in an area around 4ins long. At the front of the top there is a horizontal shrinkage split running from one end to the other. On the back left hand corner of the top there is an area of veneer loss in a rectangular section around 1ins x 3ins long. Flight holes present to back, evidence of historic woodworm. On the right hand side there are two vertical shrinkage splits running from one end to the other, the same on the left hand side. Drawers run free and easily with minimal resistance however appear to have had replacement handles and lock plates. General heavier wear to the feet commensurate with age. Overall the item is structurally sound however there is some movement in the joints.

A Late Victorian White Painted Cast Iron "Fern and Berry" Pattern Garden Bench, in the 'Coalbrookdale' manner, with slatted seat and stamped number B165 to back, 59ins wideExtensive scattered paint loss and oxidisation to the back and legs. General scattered scratching and white staining to the teak slates. Heavier wear to the legs and feet commensurate with age. Overall the item is structurally sound however there is some movement in the bolts and sections. We can confirm this item is late 19th century or late Victorian.

A Cartier Gilt Metal Cased Quartz Movement Timepiece, No. 562, the silvered dial with Roman numerals and date aperture with gilt and black numerals, contained in plain gilt case, 4ins highOutwardly the item presents in condition commensurate with age and moderate usage. There is rubbing to the gilding in general particularly to the two sides. There are some light marks on the base. The glass appears to be in good condition as does the dial with no staining or cracks. The clock has a battery and when connected the clock functions however it should be regarded as untested. The leather case is likewise in good condition showing some light wear commensurate with age. The box presents in fair condition and the remote flash gun control is a genuine Leica and appears to be complete. An Early Victorian Figured Mahogany Inverted Breakfront Bookcase, the upper part with moulded cornice, plain frieze, fitted nine adjustable shelves, flanked by scroll and floral carved uprights, the base fitted two central shelves and flanked by cupboards each enclosed by a panelled door, on plinth base, 76.5ins wide x 13ins deep x 86ins highAround all three front edges of the cornice there is some general light rubbing and edge knocks. On each of the shelves there is some general scattered scratching. Around all three front edges of the base at the top there is some general rubbing and edge knocks. Key is present and locking mechanisms work. This item has been repolished fairly recently. One of the back boards to the right hand side on the upper part has a vertical shrinkage split running from one end to the other and the same on the left hand side. General heavier wear to the plinth base commensurate with age. On the right and left hand doors of the base around the escutcheon there is some general scratching. The item breaks down into two pieces and the shelves are adjustable.

An Edwardian Satinwood Breakfront Wardrobe, the whole inlaid with rosewood bandings, with dentil moulded cornice, fitted four central sliding trays enclosed by a pair of panelled doors, two short and three long drawers under, flanked by hanging compartments enclosed by bevelled mirror panelled doors, on bracket feet, 104ins wide x 27ins deep x 89ins high Note: Lock stamped Hobbs & Co To the top at the cornice around all three front edges there are some general edge knocks and rubbing. On all of the corners at the top between the two joints on the diagonal section there are shrinkage lines or cracks. On the right hand side general scattered heavy scratching. At the top there are three vertical shrinkage splits each around 12ins long, the same on the left hand side.  At the front above the right hand door there is a small area of veneer loss around 3ins long running horizontally. In the middle of the left door there is a small area of veneer loss in a circular section around 2ins diameter. At the base of the left hand door on the corner of the front there is an area of veneer loss in an L shape around 1ins x 4ins long. On the right hand side of the right door there is a small area of veneer loss and a deep impression around 1ins squared. Drawers run free and easily with minimal resistance. On the second drawer on the right hand side there is a small area of veneer loss around 2ins running horizontally. General heavier wear to the bracket feet and base commensurate with age. This item breaks down into six sections, cornice, base, central cupboard, chest and two mirrored side units.

The left hand side to cornice the whole piece of moulding is missing at the very top from one end to the other horizontally. On the right hand side there is a large area of moulding missing running horizontally around 12ins long. The right and left hand sides there are signs of general scattered heavy scratching and darker staining. On the right hand side of the top there are 2 small areas of veneer loss each in triangular sections around 2ins long. On the front right hand side at the top of the door there is a small area of veneer loss in a triangular section around 1ins long and a smaller area just above it. On the left hand door there are 2 areas of veneer loss in a triangular section around 1ins long each. In the centre of the 2 doors there is a small area of veneer loss around 0.5ins diameter. Left hand door knob is missing. The drawers run freely with minimal resistance. The right hand interior section there are 2 slides missing. General heavier wear, rubbing, scratches, veneer loss to the plinth base commensurate with age. Overall the item is structurally sound however there is some movement to the joints and it would appear this breaks down into six sections for transport

An 18th Century Walnut Chest, with cross banded, herringbone and moulded edge to top, fitted two short and three long graduated drawers each with conforming fronts and on turned bun feet one, 39ins wide x 22.5ins deep x 35.5ins high To the top there is some general scattered scratching and darker staining, at the centre slightly to the left there is a rectangular section of veneer repair around 2ins x 4ins long. On the back at the left hand edge corner there is some veneer bubbling and cracking, the same on the lower left corner and on the right hand side there is some slight bubbling and veneer shrinkage and cracking. On the left in the corner of the top there is a small area of veneer repair in a square section around 1ins x 1ins long. On the lower right hand corner and left corner there are two small areas of veneer repair and replacement each 1ins square.  Around all four edges of the top there are some edge knocks and general rubbing.  On the right hand side there is a  slight vertical line indicating signs of shrinkage running from one end to the other, the same on the left hand side. Drawers run free and easily with minimal resistance.  There appear to be period handles but they are replacements. General heavier wear to the bun feet commensurate with age. Flight holes present to the back, evidence of historic woodworm. Overall the item is structurally sound with little to no movement in the joints.

A 9ct Gold Lady's Manual Wind Wristwatch, by Longines, 9ct gold case, 15mm diameter, silver dial with gold baton numerals, integral 9ct gold mesh bracelet, total gross weight 17.8gThe condition of this item is commensurate with age and medium usage.  No obvious sign of previous damage or repair.  Crystal shows no major marks.  Face has some slight deterioration to the top edge. Bracelet clasp functions correctly.  Buyers are advised to study all images closely as they form part of the condition report.

A William IV Figured Rosewood Rectangular Library Table, with moulded edge to top, fitted one frieze drawer to front and back, on heavy turned, reeded and leaf capped end supports and trestle feet with leaf capped scroll toes and castors, 54ins wide x 26.5ins deep x 29ins highTo the top there is some general light scattered scratching. On the left hand side there is a horizontal shrinkage crack running around 15ins. Around the edge there are various signs of shrinkage with small shrinkage cracks each around 1ins long running horizontally and vertically. On the edge of the top all the way round there is slight rubbing and general edge knocks. Drawers run free and easily with minimal resistance. On the right hand corner of the apron there is an area of curved moulding missing around 4ins long. General heavier wear to the supports and feet commensurate with age. Overall the item is structurally sound with little to some movement in the joints.  From the floor to the bottom of the top (or apron) is 24ins.

A George III Gentleman's Figured Mahogany Wardrobe, with moulded dentil cornice and inlaid with stringings, fitted hanging compartment enclosed by a pair of twin panelled doors, fitted two drawers to base, on bracket feet, 58ins wide x 25ins deep x 81ins highTo the top of the cornice around all three front edges there is some slight rubbing and general edge knocks. To the right and left hand sides there are small circular areas of dark stain build-up. On the left hand side there are 3 small shrinkage splits, each running vertically around 6ins long. To the front the inlaid part of the cornice are 3 vertical shrinkage splits each running from one end to the other. The right hand door at the top has had an area of veneer repair, semi-circular section around 3ins long. Left hand side - at the top of the door there are 2 small areas of veneer loss. On the right hand and left hand doors on the inner side  running vertically from one end to the other are 3 areas of repair. Key is present and locking mechanisms work. Drawers run freely. There has been later green baize inset into the left hand drawer. Handles appear to be replacements. General heavier wear to the feet commensurate with age. Item is structurally sound with little to no movement in the joints and appears to be in a relatively good overall condition. It has been repolished quite recently. Interior depth is 19ins. 

Lot 869

A Japanese Porcelain Imari Charger, enamelled in blue, orange, green and gilt with a central reserve of a vase of flowers, flanked by shaped reserves filled with dragons and mythical beasts, 24ins (61cm) diameter, seal mark to underside Slight wear to gilt decoration around the edge, also scattered pitting to the underside although this seems to be contemporary occurring in the firing process. A George Kellerman Painted Tin Plate Clock Work Novelty Toy in the form of a frog chasing a fly, circa 1930's, marked "CKO 314 Made in Germany" 4.75ins highThere is some light scattered scratching to the top of the head, a larger scratch to the underside of his rear and some slight loss of colour in places. We have no provenance or additional history for the item, it has been consigned by a private individual. However on the base there is a printed mark of stylised letters followed by "314 Made in Germany" - please refer to images attached. The key turns and the mechanism attempts to run, however we cannot warrant the originality of all components.

The hidden fastening clasp is present but does not function correctly. The main body of the stick is in good condition, the brass insert being in good condition, likewise the ferrule at the tip. A Late Victorian Walnut Open-Front Bookcase, by John Taylor & Son, Edinburgh, with ebonised leaf roundels and plain pilasters to front, the upper part with moulded cornice, fitted ten open shelves, the base fitted central  cupboard enclosed by a pair of panelled doors flanked by two open shelves, on plinth support, 97ins wide x 18,5ins deep x 90ins high Provenance: The Canterbury Auction Galleries - Auction 11th June 2013 - Lot 1428 The item breaks down into eight sections - cornice, central shelves, left and right hand shelves, uprights, central cupboard at the base, the left and right hand shelves and uprights, and the base. The bookcase has not been adapted or cut (except on plinth as outlined below). . It has never had doors. Interior depth - upper part - 9.5ins, lower part 12.5ins. To the cornice all three front edges there is some general rubbing and light edge knocks. The upper part shelves have some general heavy scattered scratching and circular marks. To the top of the base there is some general heavier scattered scratching and pitting, and around all three front edges there is some general rubbing and edge knocks. On the right hand and left hand shelves of the base there is some general heavier scattered scratching and darker staining. To the plinth at the base at the very bottom general heavier signs of wear commensurate with age and on the back right hand corner on the right hand side there is a rectangular area of damage around 2ins x 2ins, the same on the left hand side where it has been cut to fit a skirting.

An Old Oak Refectory Table, with three plank cleated top, the frieze carved with scrolling floral ornament, on baluster turned supports and plain stretchers, 75ins x 32ins x 29.5ins highTo the top there is some general heavy scattered scratching, darker staining, circular water marks and heavy fading. In between all three planks that make up the top there are two horizontal shrinkage lines/splits/cracks running from one end to the other. Around all four edges of the top there are some heavy knocks and rubbing. Flight holes present, evidence of historic woodworm. Base - heavy stain and polish build up to the carved frieze. General heavier wear to the turned uprights and stretchers. Extensive areas of flight holes due to historic woodworm or death watch beetle, most noticeably to the end stretchers and feet. Obvious signs of extensive dry rot and additional later feet. Overall the item is structurally sound but there is some movement in the joints.

A Pair of Victorian Figured Mahogany Hall Chairs, each with shaped and moulded crest rails, fretted carved splats, plain wood seats, on leaf and scroll carved supports with stylised paw feet First chair - to the whole there is general light scattered scratching and darker staining and polish build-up.  At the back of the seat where the back connects it is loose, to the left hand side of the back at the base there is a small vertical shrinkage split around 4ins long. General heavier scratching to the back on the right hand side. On the right leg one of the scroll brackets is missing. General heavier wear to the feet and legs commensurate with age. Overall the item is structurally sound however there is a lot of movement in the joints. Second chair - general signs of heavy scattered scratching to the seat and back. There are signs of heavy polish and stain build-up. The back edge of the seat where is connects to the back the adhesive has dried and is now beginning to separate.  On the right hand side of the stretcher that meets the back leg there is a vertical shrinkage split around 2ins long. Around all three front edges of the seat there are some signs of rubbing and there is a large edge knock to the very front. Flight holes present, evidence of historic woodworm. General heavier wear to the base and feet commensurate with age.  Overall the item is structurally sound however there is quite a lot of movement in the joints.

A Late 19th/Early 20th Century French Carriage Clock, No.986, the white enamelled dial with Roman numerals to the eight day two train movement striking and repeating on a gong, contained in gilt brass and bevelled glass case with moulded top and fluted frieze, reeded columns with Corinthian capitols to corners, on plinth base, 7ins highExternally the item presents in very good condition showing marks and wear commensurate with age and moderate usage with no damage to any of the glass panels. The handle at the top functions correctly. The rear door opens correctly and the hinge shows no sign of wear.  The mechanism appears to be complete however we cannot warrant the originality of all components. The clocks winds, runs and sets but should be regarded as untested,  The white enamel dial is in good condition showing no hairline cracks or discolouration. There is one slight mark to the glass at the front around the 5 o'clock position, this is a scratch possibly 3mm or 4mm in length.  Prospective bidders are strongly advised to study all images closely prior to bidding as they form part of the condition report.

An 18th Century Figured Walnut Chest on Stand, the upper part with moulded cornice, plain frieze, the front crossbanded and inlaid with herringbone stringings, fitted two short and three long graduated drawers, with with reeded canted corners, the base fitted three short drawers above shaped apron, on later cabriole legs, 40ins wide x 21ins deep x 66.5ins highAt the top of the upper part there are three horizontal shrinkage splits to the top running from one end to the other. There is heavy dark scattered scratching and pitting and staining. Around all three front edges of the cornice there are signs of general rubbing and edge knocks and there are extensive signs of shrinkage with horizontal and vertical shrinkage splits each around 1ins long. On the left hand side there are two vertical shrinkage splits running from one end to the other. On the right hand side there is a central vertical shrinkage split running from one end to the other and to the left of this there is a smaller shrinkage split running vertically around 16ins long. On the back right hand side there is a small shrinkage split around 8ins long. To the front of each drawer there are extensive signs of shrinkage with numerous shrinkage splits and cracks present. On the second drawer, the first long drawers there are numerous areas of veneer patching and repair. On the top right small drawer there is an area of veneer loss in a triangular section around 2ins long. On the second long drawer there are numerous areas of veneer repair. To the base on the right hand side at the front there is a small semi-circular section of veneer loss on the right hand side. There is a vertical shrinkage split running from one end to the other, the same on the left hand side. The legs are later replacement. There are flight holes present evidence of historic woodworm. The handles and lockplates appear to be replacements. The drawers are oak lined however the carcass is pined and veneered in walnut. Overall the item is structurally sound with little to no movement in the joints. It has been repolished fairly recently.

It appears to be in fairly good condition with a nice, clean overall even colouring. It has been repolished quite recently.

An 18ct White Gold Diamond and Amethyst Dress Ring, set with a faceted amethyst, approximately 20mm x10mm, flanked by alternate rows of small brilliant and baguette cut white diamonds, size T, gross weight 12.1gThe item presents in excellent overall condition showing wear commensurate age and very light (if any) usage, all stones are securely set and appear to be free from any obvious sign of damage. the centre stone appears to be in extremely good condition, all claws are present and there is no evidence of previous damage or repair. There are no obvious signs of any significant chippings to any of the stones, other than very light marks commensurate with usage. Lot 139

A Black Forest Cuckoo Automaton Clock, the 4.5ins diameter white enamel dial with Roman numerals, set within half-length portrait of a couple with moving eyes, to the weight driven movement striking on a gong, contained in gilt and painted frame with shaped cresting, 18.5ins highWe believe this item to date from the turn of the last century. Externally the clock presents in honest condition showing wear commensurate with age and some repair over the years.  The hinges are mounted externally and are not period and are relatively crudely fastened. The glazed door to the front appears to be fabricated from a picture frame. It is also not wearing the original glass which is now set in a mastic rather than the original putty.  The dial appears to be in good condition with some marking and spotting however this is consistent with age. The portrait itself again appears to be free from any retouching. The decorative floral work to the exterior may have been enhanced at some stage. The enamel dial to the clock is in good condition however its fit to the bezel is not particularly precise, the back Roman numerals are clear and concise, the hands appear to be original. The rear panel and gong appear to be original and in fair condition. The mechanism is complete however we cannot warrant the originality of all components.  The cuckoo is present. The bellows on the two cuckoo boxes appear to be replacement but they do function. Likewise the mechanism to the moving eyes appears connected and appears to function, similarly with the cuckoo. However the clock has not been heard in running order with all functions working. There are also several modern screws attached to the mechanism.  The chain is present as is the pendulum and two weights.  Prospective bidders are strongly advised to study all images closely prior to bidding as they form part of the condition report.

On the left hand corner there is heavy rubbing and knocks and there is a small area of damage around 3ins long. On the right corner of the cornice there is a small area of loss and damage in an L section around 2ins long. General heavier scattered scratching to the right and left hand sides. The left hand part bottom corner of the frieze has a small area of moulding loss around 1ins long. On the back right hand side of the upper part there is a small area of damage around 2ins long and on the top left hand section of the left side there is a small area of veneer loss in a triangular section. Vertical shrinkage signs to the right and left sides.  The mirror plate is slightly distressed, the most notable part is a circular section in the lower central area. On the left hand door on the interior there is a plaque for Maple & Co. Around the two locking plates there are signs of scratching and heavier markings and impressions. Drawers run free and easily with minimal resistance. General heavier wear to the plinth base commensurate with age. Overall the item is structurally sound however there is some movement in the joints.

A Platinum Diamond Eternity Ring, Modern, set with brilliant cut white diamonds, approximately .75ct total, size J, gross weight 4.2gThe ring presents in condition showing wear commensurate with age and moderate/medium usage. There are some slight marks to the rear which is to be expected on a pre-owned item. An Early 19th Century Walnut, Ebonised and Gilt Metal Mounted Semainier, with white flecked marble slab to top and floral and bead mount to edge, fitted four real drawers and fall front with three dummy drawer front all inlaid with floral marquetry, with conforming side panels with gilt metal brackets, on plinth base with turned feet, 27ins wide x 13.5ins deep x 52ins highThe marble inset to the top on the right hand corner at the front has a small repaired crack running diagonally around 4ins long and at the back there are some areas of chipping and there is a semi-circular small crack around 4ins long. There are two circular water marks each around 5ins diameter on the left hand side. Light oxidisation and dark polish build up to the metal components.  On the left hand side there is a vertical shrinkage split at the very top around 15ins long and at the base of the left hand side there is a vertical shrinkage split around 20ins long. On the left hand side of the base the gilt moulding is loose but present.  On the right hand side there is a vertical shrinkage crack around 15ins long running vertically from the top. At the very edge of the top there is some veneer bubbling and cracking.  The fall front on the top edge has some slight edge knocks and on the right hand side there is a small area of veneer loss in a square section around 1ins x 1ins.  On the interior there is numerous horizontal shrinkage splits to the back panel and an area of moulding at the front has extensive knocks and areas of wear and damage, and the left hand side the interior inside the back panel has a circular hole around 2ins diameter.  The leather is scratched and distressed. Key is present and locking mechanisms work. General heavier wear to the turned feet commensurate with age.  Overall the item is structurally sound with little to no movement in the joints.
