Anti-Semitic report RUSSIA No. 1 – A Collection On Reports Of Bolshevism In Russia HMSO April 1919 VI plus 88pp. Withdrawn white paper which was immediately replaced by a 104pp. abridged edition. A few made it into circulation the various Libraries including that of the House Of Lords. It described Bolshevism as a Jewish movement that needed to be nipped in the bud. Caused a great deal of alarm in certain circles consequently the anti-Semitic language was toned down somewhat for the abridged edition. Very good copy an exceptionally scarce item. Neat stamps on cover
Ephemera – Royalty a superb collection of approx 44 original designs in watercolour possibly by a designed for Garrard for items of Royal jewellery 19th c. Various sizes mounted on card. A fascinating collection. One item is identified as being for a gold pocket watch for the Prince of Wales (later Edward VII). This is further identified as ‘India 1876’- presumably for a Royal tour. White Waltham Aerodrome. A group of aviation related books including ñPilot`s Flying Log-Book - Aircraft Movements Logî White Waltham dated 125th June to 27th October 1961,detailing all aircraft movements between those dates, comprehensively listing many aircraft types including DH Dove, Rapide, Moth, Anson, Auster, Chipmunk, Proctor, Valletta, Widgeon, Dakota, Gannett, Sycamore, Gemini, Aeronca, Tripacer, Jackaroo, Rotodyne and Spitfire AB-910; together with ñPilot`s Notesî for Chipmunk TMK10 (2) and Flight-Test Schedule, Anson and Checklist for Dakota IV, and biographies and histories including two by Air commodore Allen Wheeler etc. From 1930s and of course famously during WWII, White Waltham aerodrome was the central base for the Air Transport Auxiliary Service, delivering new issue and other service aeroplanes to all the airfields throughout the UK. An important and interesting archival item relating to the history of the Royal Air Force during the early post WWII years. (6)
