A VINTAGE FRENCH MARBLE MANTEL CLOCK AND CANDLELABRA GARNITURES, a rose and ivory colour marble, cast metal figure and painted brass detailed clock, the figure on the top of the clock is a girl carrying a basket, it has gilt details overall and gilt scroll feet and handles, the dial is of cream colour with fine black detailed pattern and decorative numbers with a black metal hand, key and pendulum present, the dial is covered with a hinged glass and brass front, height 45cm, (one hand is missing, only one side winds the other appears to be over wound, the feet are loose mainly the front left, left side handle loose, large piece missing out of the marble top right corner, a small nibble in the marble at the back top, back plate appears to have been painted a gold colour), two candelabra garnitures in matching rose and ivory colour marble with painted gold colour metal detail, four arms coming of a central candle holder with four more candle holders, height 42cm, (one candle holder is damaged and appears not to match the rest, signs of gold paint on the marble base, the metal around the candle holder is quite bent in places and some metal decor loose, candle residue present in both and both would benefit a clean), (Condition Report: please see main description for specific item damage, overall would benefit from a clean, not tested), (3)

Ca. 1200 - 800 BC. A Western Asiatic cast-bronze stag with long horns. The animal has a slender, elongated body and strong hindquarters. The powerful neck holds up a massive pair of curved horns. Ca. 350 - 300 BC. A rare red-figure pottery bell krater with a large body and two handles. The krater features traditional patterns, such as the laurel wreath under the lip, the Palmette motif under the handles, and the meander pattern with crosses along the bottom of the body. Side ‘A’ is decorated with a scene depicting seated Nike with outstretched wings, holding a large mirror in front of a woman wearing a long Kitone holding a handled pit. On side "B," there are two men resting on a stick and wearing a long robe. The scene is probably inside of a temple. Ca. 1550 - 1070 BC. An amazing Egyptian stone head of a priestly figure with rounded features and a shaved head. The face consists of relief carved features, including almond shaped eyes, a small nose, and pursed lips. The ears, neck, and face are well defined with a polished surface. Sculptures of priests were crafted as votive offerings intended to be placed at temples or other places of worship. These figures symbolised the ongoing worship of the deity. For similar see: B.M. Ca. AD 400. An oval-shaped carnelian intaglio engraved with a nude male figure seated atop a pile of rocks. He holds a stick or staff in his left hand. The intaglio is set in a high carat, possibly later gold ring. The garnet gemstone was very popular with the Romans in the third and fourth centuries.
